The latest College Football Playoff projections were announced on Tuesday night after a wild final week of the regular season. Miami and Tulane are among the teams that played their way out of playoff contention with costly losses when listed by the college football odds as favorites in Week 14.
Seven of the 12 teams in the current playoff bracket will be playing in conference title games this weekend so there is a chance for the final bracket to look a little different when it is announced on Sunday.
While the Big Ten and the SEC dominated college football during the 2024 season, many who bet online will be keep tabs on the ACC, Big 12 and Mountain West championships since those are the matchups that have the most impact on the CFP bracket.

Right now, the Big Ten and the SEC each have four teams in the CFP field with the ACC and the Big 12 being limited to having the conference championship among the 12 teams in the College Football Playoff bracket.

With Arizona State at No. 15 and Iowa State at No. 16 in the CFP rankings, it is pretty clear that only the winner of the Big 12 final will make the field. The Iowa State vs Arizona State betting lines favor the Sun Devils by 2 points.
The winner of the Boise State vs UNLV matchup in the Mountain West title clash will also secure a bid. However, if UNLV wins, the Big 12 champion figures to get a top-four seed and a bye into the quarterfinals.

We have Texas and Oregon winning on Saturday in our college football picks. Boise State and Arizona State are the other teams we will have securing CFP spots this weekend.
Maybe it is just name recognition, but let’s take Clemson to beat SMU in the ACC title game. The Tigers are 2-point underdogs in Clemson vs SMU betting lines.
If that is how things play out, this is what our bracket would look like.
It would be Penn State-Clemson, Tennessee-Ohio State, Alabama-Notre Dame and Indiana squaring off with Georgia in the first-round matchups. The matchup between Tennessee and Ohio State will likely be the most competitive of the first-round battles.
The Penn State-Clemson winner would face Arizona State in the quarterfinals. Oregon would meet up with either Tennessee or Ohio State. The Alabama-Notre Dame victor would face Boise State and dynamic running back Ashton Jeanty while Texas and Georgia could meet for the third time if the Bulldogs get by Indiana in the first round.
Jeanty should be a popular option in NCAAB player props as he had a last impression to make an impression on Heisman Trophy odds. He is the second choice to win the Heisman at +1000.
