We’ve taken a look at this week’s schedule and come up with three teams that we think will soar past those expectations and pull outright upsets. Take a read and put these college football parlay picks in the sportsbook to make you happy come Saturday night.

3 Underdog College Football Parlay Picks for Week 12

1. West Virginia (+115)

In the era of super conferences and 16 teams vying for a conference championship without divisions, some teams can get lost and forgotten after a couple of losses. That may be the case with the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Baylor Bears, who have an important matchup on Saturday in Morgantown, WV.

West Virginia still has an outside shot at a conference championship game appearance, coming into this week with a 4-2 mark, which puts it in a four-way tie for third place in the league standings. Things would have to go the Mountaineers’ way for them to move up to the top two in the league, but stranger things have happened. Winning out would certainly help the team’s chances.

The Mountaineers come into this one on a two-game winning streak thanks to a pair of narrow road wins against Arizona and Cincinnati. Now back at home for this one, West Virginia will try to build on that momentum.

Sophomore Nicco Marchiol has provided a bit of a spark for the Mountaineers since taking over as starting quarterback prior to the current winning streak. He took over for senior Garrett Greene, who suffered an upper-body injury in a loss to Kansas State and has improved to 3-0 as a starter with wins in the last two games.

The question now is who will start this week. Greene returned to practice this week, and head coach Neal Brown has not committed to either player as his starter.

Whichever one starts shouldn’t matter, as we like the Mountaineers to continue their winning streak, earning the outright upset victory at home. Put West Virginia in your upset parlay when you make your college football picks and parlays for this week.

2. Rutgers (+185)

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights started the season with four straight wins. Then they hit a low point with four straight losses. Now, coming off a win over Minnesota, the Scarlet Knights are looking for bowl eligibility with a win on the road against the struggling Maryland Terrapins.

Rutgers got a very nice draw on the schedule this season, avoiding the gauntlet of teams like Oregon, Ohio State, Indiana, and Penn State. Still, coach Greg Schiano’s squad has struggled at times and is hoping the momentum from last week’s win carries over to this week.

Quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis had three touchdown passes against the Golden Gophers and will be a key for Rutgers’ chances this week as well.

It really touched us these last four weeks as a team, but we stayed together,” Kaliakmanis told college football news outlets of the four-game losing streak. “We did it out of love for each other, it wasn’t for anybody else.”

The Scarlet Knights are hoping to have senior running back Kyle Monangai (931 yards, 10 touchdowns) back in the lineup after he sat out the Minnesota win with an undisclosed injury. His presence can take some pressure off of Kaliakmanis and the passing game.

Maryland has lost two straight and four of its last five. Quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. has thrown four of his eight interceptions on the season over the last two games, slowing down the Maryland attack.

Rutgers has the positive momentum on its side in this one, and we like the Scarlet Knights to come out on top outright on Saturday. Make sure you bet online on the visitors in this Big Ten contest.

3. Utah State (+115)

A Mountain West clash on Saturday provides a chance for a lot of offensive fireworks, as the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors visit the Utah State Aggies. Both teams can throw the ball well, but that hasn’t added up to many conference victories, as the two have just three between them.

Senior quarterback Brayden Schager powers the Hawaii attack, throwing for 2,467 yards and 19 touchdowns this season. Unfortunately, he also has 10 interceptions, which have been costly to the Rainbow Warriors.

His counterpart in this game, Utah State senior signal caller Spencer Petras, has thrown for multiple touchdowns in his last six games. He missed some games earlier in the season due to an ankle sprain suffered in the season opener, but he still has 2,033 yards and 15 touchdowns through the air on the season.

He’ll need to be wary of the Hawaii defense, which allows just 210.0 passing yards per game, but Petras should be able to get the Aggies’ offense humming. This is going to be a back-and-forth affair, and we like playing at home to be the difference for Utah State.

Make Utah State one of your college football predictions for an upset on this parlay, and you’ll be happy that you did.
