South Carolina, currently 1-0 in SEC play, welcomes a ranked LSU team to town while Texas A&M is listed by the college football spread as a road favorite against Florida. The matchup between the Gators and the Aggies is the only one involving an SEC team this week with a line in the single digits.

Kentucky, which lost its SEC opener by more than three touchdowns, has top-ranked Georgia coming to Lexington. Kentucky is coming off a 25-point loss at home to South Carolina so good luck with that.

With Texas jumping over Ohio State in this week’s Associated Press poll, the top two teams and six of the top seven in the Top 25 are from the SEC. It would be a surprise to see any of those teams stumble on Saturday. Things get underway at noon ET when No. 4 Alabama hits the road to face Wisconsin as a 16½-point favorite while LSU is favored by seven at South Carolina.

When looking at the college football futures odds, eight of the top 15 teams in the odds of winning the national championship hail from the SEC.

Let’s take a look at some of the bets to consider as six SEC teams will be playing on the road in Week 3.

Top 3 SEC Bets for Week 3

1. Boston College-Missouri to Go Under 53.5 Points (-110)

When the Boston College Eagles and Missouri met back in 2021, the teams combined for 75 points with the host Eagles winning 41-34 in overtime for their first win against a team from the SEC since 2001.

The rosters are much different going into the rematch but the 53½-point total is sure to attract plenty of action from those who bet online.

After putting 28 points up in an upset of Florida State, BC dropped 56 points on an overmatched Duquesne squad. Don’t expect a similar output but this game could easily head over the 53½-point total with Brady Cook and the Missouri Tigers offense looking to exploit the BC secondary more than Florida State did. However, Missouri has yet to allow a point in its first two games.

2. Texas A&M to Cover vs Florida as 4-Point Favorite (110)

Texas A&M has lost its last four games as a road favorite and failed to cover in each of those games.

The Texas A&M Aggies were tied with Notre Dame but managed just 21 yards on their final three drives to lose by 10 points.

It was hard to take much away from the dominant effort against McNeese State but based on how horrible the Florida Gators looked in its season-opening loss at home to Miami, going with the Aggies to cover as a four-point favorite according to the college football spread could be the way to go as the Aggies and Gators open play in the SEC.

3. Tulane-Oklahoma to Go Over 46.5 Points (-110)

The Tulane Green Wave squandered a 10-point halftime lead at home against Kansas State last week. The Green Wave had nearly 100 more yards of total offense in the game with former Oklahoma receiver Mario Williams delivering with 128 of the 342 receiving yards for Tulane.

The Oklahoma Sooners’ defense has only allowed 15 points in its first two games. However, the offense will look to get going after managing just 249 yards in a 16-12 win over Houston in Week 2.

That 46½-point total is pretty enticing as Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold looks to resemble the player who threw for 361 yards in a loss to Arizona in the 2023 Alamo Bowl.

Go with the Tulane-Oklahoma matchup to go over 46½ points.
