College football action continues on Saturday and we have picked four of the best betting games for totals’ bettors.
Featured in our college football picks are Northwestern vs Michigan, Wisconsin vs Purdue, Oregon vs UCLA and Tennessee vs Alabama.
The sportsbook has odds available for all the major games and there is good money to be made betting totals.
Northwestern Wildcats vs Michigan Wolverines
Saturday, Noon ET
Michigan is one of the more consistent teams. It’s 6-0 and averages 38.5 points and, despite falling short of that number against Nebraska, it was a solid performance.
The Wolverines scored 38 points against Wisconsin a week prior, so a similar performance should see the over cash.
“Yeah, it was well mixed. We really believe in our quarterbacks, we believe in our receivers and our tight ends. We believe we can throw the ball well, we believe we can run it well,” Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh told ESPN about their offense vs Wisconsin.
Bookmakers have the total at 51½, which is in favor of over backers. Northwestern doesn’t have much of a defense, so the Wolverines could capitalize and put up at least 35 points.
We also expect the Wildcats’ offense to show up, and there were positive signs when scoring 21 points against Rutgers last week. They have struggled to score against good teams, but we see this game ending 38-15.
College football odds are in bettors’ favor, so lock in the line before it moves.
Pick: Over 51½
Wisconsin Badgers at Purdue Boilermakers
Saturday, 3 p.m. ET
There are two things that surprise us with the bookmakers’ lines. We thought Purdue would be favored to beat Wisconsin after knocking off Iowa, and we thought the over/under line would be higher.
Wisconsin and Purdue aren’t the highest-scoring teams in the country, but we’re expecting a 24-20 scoreline, which sees the over cash.

Purdue comes off a stunning 24-7 win over Iowa, so scoring 24 points against a tough Iowa defense bodes well going up against Wisconsin, which allowed 38 points to Michigan and 41 to Notre Dame.
The Badgers’ defense has been better in two games since, allowing just 14 points combined against Illinois and Army, but Purdue can exploit the defense.
We expect the points to flow, so this is one of the most confident college football lines.
Pick: Over 40
Oregon Ducks vs UCLA Bruins
Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET
Points are expected to flow between Oregon and UCLA on Saturday. The sportsbook has the line at 579, which might not be high enough.
UCLA is scoring 33.9 points per game, and Oregon 33.8, so offense should be on show. They are quality defensive teams as well, but this has all the makings of a high-scoring quarterback duel.
Against Fresno State, which plays a similar style to Oregon, UCLA put up 37 points in a losing effort. A similar offense output is likely to see the over hit, and Oregon can score points in bunches.
The Ducks scored 41 points on Arizona and 35 when upsetting Ohio State. That was a fine effort considering the defense they were up against, and we don’t think UCLA will fare much better.
Pick: Over 59
Tennessee Volunteers vs Alabama Crimson Tide
Saturday, 7 p.m. ET
It’s one of the biggest lines of the week as the Crimson Tide look to solidify their top-four spot with a win over Tennessee.
Points have been flowing for Alabama, which is averaging 45 points per game. It scored 49 in a win over Mississippi State last week, and 38 in a loss to Texas A&M the previous week.

Defense hasn’t quite been there for Alabama, which should result in point-scoring opportunities for the Volunteers, who average just under 40 points.
Tennessee was kept in check by Ole Miss last week, scoring just 26 points, but it scored 62 and 45 points when beating Missouri and South Carolina, respectively.
We don’t expect much defense to be played on Saturday, and despite the number being high, we’re going with over 67½.
