There has been no shortage of upsets in college football this season, and there are still more to come. We’re taking a look at my college football predictions for the top upset spots for Week 6.

As a word of caution, this is going to be a big week for potential opt-outs across the sport. Some players have played four games and will look to opt out of the remainder of the season to preserve their redshirt status. You would be wise to wait until closer to kickoff to place bets in case key players opt out.
Here’s a look at my best underdog moneyline bets for college football Week 6.

4 Teams on Upset Alert in NCAAF Week 6
1. Duke (+270) Could Jolt Georgia Tech)
Georgia Tech appears to be living off the legacy of “upsetting” Florida State in Week 0. We have since learned that the Seminoles are a complete trainwreck.
Like a good ATL resident, I have backed the Yellow Jackets in several spots since then, but tell me why exactly Georgia Tech is nearly a 10-point favorite against undefeated Duke?
Now, if this is your first time thinkng about Duke since Mike Elko left for College Station, allow me to enlighten you. The Blue Devils are off to a hot start while sitting a perfect 5-0.
Duke landed former Texas quarterback Maalik Murphy over the offseason. Murphy is absolutely ballin’ this season.

– 12 Touchdowns

Georgia Tech has had a more challenging schedule to date, but that shouldn’t account for this sizable spread. Sprinkle a little on the Duke moneyline at +270 college football odds for a solid return.
2. South Carolina (+280) vs Ole Miss
Remind me again why we have so much faith in Ole Miss? Maybe it’s the team’s blowout win over Wake Forest, which might be the team’s best victory so far.
I mentioned last week that Kentucky would hang close with Ole Miss. All the Wildcats did was upset the Rebels. No. 12 Ole Miss appears to still be living off the team’s preseason expectations as a potential SEC contender.
On the other side, South Carolina has outperformed the meager expectations that accompanied the team. A strong argument can be made that South Carolina should have defeated LSU instead of sustaining a narrow 36-33 loss.
Per college football news, it looks like standout quarterback LaNorris Sellers is expected to suit up against Ole Miss. Keep an eye on freshman pass rusher Dylan Stewart, who could make Jaxson Dart’s life miserable on Saturday.
South Carolina freshman Dylan Stewart is an absolute freak. Beats a triple team to force the incompletion. Living up to the five-star hype. pic.twitter.com/uLYPdorgwe

The Gamecocks offer phenomenal value at +280 in the NCAAF picks.
Bet This Pick: South Carolina (+280)
3. App State (+129) Has Strong Chance vs Marshall
It has been a challenging week for App State with the campus sustaining serious damage from Hurricane Helene. That said, the Mountaineers have a strong chance to upset Marshall.
Absolutely heartbreaking footage from my college town of Boone, NC.
It’s so tough to see a place you know so well and love so much get devastated like this.

Both of these teams have flaws making it more of a coin flip. I think App State is the stronger online betting team in this matchup.
Bet This Pick: App State (+129)
4. Michigan (+115) vs Washington
I have not exactly been bullish about Michigan this season, but the Wolverines have looked better since the quarterback change to Alex Orji. The Wolverines still cannot pass the ball, but it is not going to matter against Washington.

The Huskies are somehow a 2½-point favorite versus the Wolverines. It feels like a wrong team favored situation in the college football lines. Michigan’s depth and rushing attack allows the Wolverines to pull off the “upset” in this inaugural Big Ten matchup.
Bet This Pick: Michigan (+115)
