College Football Week 14 Preview: 3 Predictions for ACC Must-See Games

When looking at college football spreads, the most competitive ACC game in Week 14 could come when North Carolina meets up with North Carolina State. Clemson is favored in a huge game against South Carolina with both teams still in the running for spots in the College Football Playoffs but on the outside looking in according to the latest CFP rankings.

Let’s take a look at my best NCAAF picks and predictions for the ACC in Week 14.

1. Duke vs Wake Forest Over 53.5

The good news for Wake Forest is that the season is almost over and the Demon Deacons should be able to dig into the transfer portal to get some help on defense as Wake Forest is allowing more points and yards in conference play than any other ACC team.

The regular season ends with a game against Duke. There are questions about how much quarterback Maalik Murphy will play after his obscene gesture after throwing a touchdown the last time out. Duke announced in a statement that some punishment is coming but it is uncertain what that punishment will be.

The total was set at 41 in last year’s meeting between the conference rivals. The line is now at 53.5 and when making NCAAF predictions, take this game to land over.

2. Georgia Tech +17.5

It is easy to wonder if the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets would be in contention for a spot in the ACC championship game had quarterback Haynes King stayed healthy. King missed games against Notre Dame and Virginia Tech.

Throwing the ball is a bit of a struggle for King but he is still a dynamic player for a Georgia Tech team that is looking to throw a scare into Georgia.

The Bulldogs have already clinched a spot in the SEC championship game but there is still plenty to play for as a loss to Georgia Tech could put the Bulldogs in the position of having to win the SEC title to earn a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Georgia Tech is a great college football betting pick as a 17.5-point underdog against the Bulldogs. Go with the Yellow Jackets to hang around in this rivalry game.

There should be plenty of emotion when North Carolina takes the field for the final time with Mack Brown as the head coach for the Tar Heels. It has been a disappointing season for both North Carolina and North Carolina State with a combined total of five ACC wins.

The Wolfpack still has something to play for as a win on Saturday would make North Carolina State bowl-eligible. The Wolfpack will look to slow down Omarion Hampton, the top rusher in the ACC.
