Florida State vs Miami Prediction, Game Preview, Live Stream, Odds and Picks
The Florida State Seminoles and Miami Hurricanes are not having successful seasons, but winning this game will make the 2022 campaign a lot more bearable.
This remains a passionate rivalry, though its national significance has been diminished. Both teams are on four wins but the Seminoles have been the better squad.

Are they the right bet online to cover versus the college football odds? Let’s take a closer look.
Let’s check the latest college football odds, stats, injury reports and college football lines for Florida State vs Miami. We’ve plenty of NCAA football odds for you to consider.
Florida State Seminoles
The Seminoles defeated Georgia Tech in Week 9, 41-16. They enter Week 10 with a 5-3 record, so if they win this game, they will clinch a bowl bid.
That’s important for a program trying to build back its stature and reputation. Going to a bowl game means a team gets 15 practices in December to work on player development with the roster.
That’s especially important for the younger guys who will be returning for the following season.
Georgia Tech pulled an upset of Pittsburgh earlier in the season. Though Florida State was a massive favorite in the sportsbook for this game, being able to hammer Georgia Tech by 25 points represents a strong, mature performance.
Florida State snapped a three-game losing streak with the win but all of the losses were to credible foes. They fell to Wake Forest, North Carolina State, and Clemson the previous few weeks.
As for Miami, they lost at home to Middle Tennessee State and barely beat Virginia by two last week. The Canes are not looking so hot.
This week, we get to find out if Florida State is able to get on a winning streak again. The Seminoles started the year 4-0 before stalling in October.
Miami Hurricanes
The Hurricanes won a road conference game, going to Virginia and prevailing in overtime. The crazy part of their win is that they achieved it without scoring a touchdown.
Miami won 14-12 and the 14 points were not the product of two touchdowns. Miami kicked four field goals and then won on a 2-point conversion in the fourth overtime period.
In the current overtime format in college football, teams get possession at the opponent’s 25-yard line in the first and second overtimes. Miami and Virginia went to OT tied at 6-6.
They traded field goals in the first and second overtimes to enter the third OT deadlocked at 12-12.
In the third college overtime period, it’s simply a battle of 2-point conversions. If one team makes the conversion and the other doesn’t, that’s the game.
Neither team converted the 2-point try in the third OT, but Miami converted in the fourth OT and Virginia did not. Miami won despite throwing for just 125 yards and collecting under 300 total yards.
The Hurricanes won by holding Virginia under 120 rushing yards and 330 total yards. Miami’s defense limited Virginia’s offense to just 5 of 16 third-down conversions.
