Aggies’ Slide at Four
The Florida Gators try to snap a two-game losing streak when they visit the Texas A&M Aggies in an SEC showdown Saturday afternoon. Florida is coming off a 42-20 setback against No. 1 Georgia last out, and is sixth in the SEC East Division, a game behind three teams in third. Texas A&M has lost four in a row, including a three-point decision against No. 15 Ole Miss. It’s tied with Auburn, sixth in the SEC West. Both teams need a win in a bad way, so check out our in-depth preview of this contest to help with your bet online.

Florida’s Loss to ‘Dawgs
The Cocktail Party was another rugged affair last game involving the Florida Gators, as they fought hard but eventually fell to the No. 1 (and defending national champion) Georgia Bulldogs. There was plenty to feel good about if you’re coach Billy Napier’s squad, provided they can continue that same level of play.
Quarterback Anthony Richardson had 271 yards and a touchdown, though he did get sacked three times. The sophomore has 1,638 passing yards (seven touchdowns, seven interceptions) this season. He hasn’t been pilfered in each of the last two games.
Sophomore wide receiver Xzavier Henderson was the team’s home-run hitter against the Bulldogs (five catches, 110 yards, 78-yard touchdown). Henderson is averaging 11.3 yards per catch this season (32 receptions, 362 yards, two touchdowns).
The rushing game needs to provide balance in the offense. Leading that charge is freshman Trevor Etienne (64 carries 387 yards, four touchdowns).
A&M Falling Just Short
The Texas A&M Aggies’ defeat to the Ole Miss Rebels was yet another example of the team falling short, having lost by six points or less in a third consecutive game. The team’s current string of four straight losses is the longest since 2005, though quarterback Connor Weigman did all he could to stop that streak in his first-ever start.
“To go out and play the way he did, I thought he had an outstanding game,” coach Jimbo Fisher said of Weigman after Saturday’s loss. “He gave us a chance to win the game in the end.“
The freshman was 28-of-44 (338 yards, four touchdowns) in the losing effort. He’s in line to start this one, even if Haynes King is able to come back from an injured shoulder. A&M needs that added dimension that Weigman brought.
Wide receiver Moose Muhammad III certainly enjoyed having Weigman at the controls, eight catches (112 yards, one touchdown) against the Rebels. Muhammad has 23 receptions (342 yards, three touchdowns) this season.

Florida vs Texas A&M Head-To-Head
The series between the Florida Gators and Texas A&M Aggies is a limited one, with A&M winning three of the five games. The Aggies took the last two meetings, including a 41-38 home victory at home in 2020.
The last three games between these teams, all since Texas A&M joined the SEC, have been tight, with the winning margin being three or fewer points. The college football lines are anticipating another close contest, with the Aggies getting the slight edge at home.
