It would be quite the story for the Texas Longhorns to win the SEC title in their first season since leaving the Big 12. Standing in the way is a Georgia program that will play in the SEC championship game for the seventh time in the last eight seasons. The college football spread favors Texas in Saturday’s matchup.

Texas is second and Georgia is fifth in the latest College Football Playoff rankings. The Longhorns are second at +400 with the Bulldogs fourth at +500 in the odds to win the NCAAF national title.

Georgia vs Texas Analysis: Top 3 Bets for SEC Championship

1. No Team to Score 3 Times in a Row (+206)

We are going to go out on a limb and suggest that Georgia will not be leading 23-0 at halftime in the rematch.

Georgia was fortunate to come away with a win in its regular-season finale against a Georgia Tech team playing with a quarterback dealing with a shoulder injury. It is fair to have questions about how good this Georgia team is.

Texas followed up the loss to Georgia by barely topping Vanderbilt. Since then, the Longhorns have had four consecutive double-digit wins.

This feels like a game that could come down to the final possession or two so take a look at this college football game prop for neither team to score at least three times in a row.

Bet This Pick: Neither Texas nor Georgia Will Score Three Times In A Row (+206)

2. Texas ML (-140)

Georgia is just 2-6 in its last eight appearances in the SEC championship game. Even in the win, Texas had the advantage in total yards.

Both teams are looking good to make it into the College Football Playoff regardless of what happens in Atlanta but the eye tests suggest that Texas has fewer weaknesses than Georgia. It doesn’t hurt that Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers usually doesn’t make as many risky throws as Carson Beck, the SEC leader with 12 interceptions.

When making SEC championship picks, take Texas at -140 to win outright. The Longhorns are currently favored by 2.5 and that could be an option in a parlay. If the spread were to move to 3.5, it could be worth rolling with Georgia to cover.

Bet This Pick: Texas to Win Outright (-140)

3. Georgia vs Texas Under 49

Neither team topped 300 yards in the regular-season meeting. Texas is one of three Football Bowl Subdivision teams to allow less than 250 yards per game. The Longhorns have only allowed 11 touchdowns in 24 red-zone drives. While the Bulldogs have given up points in 31 red-zone drives, 12 of those resulted in field goals.

The NCAA football betting odds have the total at 49 and the best way to proceed would be to take the game to land under that total.

Bet Georgia vs Texas Under 49 (-105)

Georgia vs Texas Score Prediction
