Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty continues to be the favorite at +200 odds. There are several reasons why Jeanty may not be hoisting the trophy in December.

In recent years, the Heisman has typically gone to a star quarterback. Fair or unfair, some voters are also going to try to pluck holes in Jeanty’s stats given Boise State’s schedule.

Here’s a look at my best bets among the Heisman Trophy contenders.

Bet These 3 Picks in the Heisman Trophy Odds

1. Texas QB Quinn Ewers (+2000) a Massive Sleeper

I know this feels a little bit like watching any Skip Bayless take: old and repetitive. Assuming you think Texas is going to handle Georgia on Saturday, this would be a perfect spot to snag Quinn Ewers in your NCAA football picks.

Texas’ schedule is shaping up nicely after Georgia with Texas A&M as the only remaining ranked opponent after the Dawgs. Ewers will have a chance to rack up numbers like a MrBeast video as the calendar turns to sweater weather.

2. Colorado Star Travis Hunter (+800) has Value After Injury

We’ve liked Colorado’s Travis Hunter in previous weeks, but now the two-way star is out here campaigning for the Heisman on a podcast. Hunter is putting Jeanty on blast, which is a bit of a petty look, but it could work in helping the wide receiver/cornerback land the Heisman.

He [Jeanty] has, I think, 95 carries for 1,000 yards. If I had 95 catches, how much yards you think I’d have?” Hunter pondered on the podcast “Outta Pocket with RGIII,” per On3.com. “If I had 95 targets on defense, what you think I’d have? If I had 95 catches on offense, what do you think I’d have?”

So I try to tell you, he’s got double the touches I’ve got on the offensive side of the ball and I still have defensive stats that’s still crazy and we’re only in Week 6. So I’m not gonna argue about it.

Hunter has some value after his recent injury. Hunter dropped down to +800 at the BetUS sportsbook and the corner is not expected to miss time with the shoulder injury.

3. Miami QB Cam Ward Lurking in Heisman Odds (+600)

One former favorite is lurking the Heisman odds and his name is Cam Ward. Miami is coming off a bye, which means Ward has had a couple weeks out of the public eye.

That’s good news when you bet online as Ward is down to +600. That’s great value compared to where his number was at in previous weeks.

Ward stands a good chance to put up video-game stats in future weeks. Snag a futures ticket on Ward before this number drops.
