You’re seeing these odds shift like crazy from week to week. Miami quarterback Cam Ward has gone from being a preseason sleeper to the new Heisman favorite at +450.

Keep in mind that most teams have yet to play a conference game, so there is plenty of time for new Heisman contenders to emerge.

Let’s take a look at my best bets to win the Heisman Trophy heading into Week 4.

Heisman Trophy Odds Update: 3 Best Bets

1. Jump on Value for USC QB Miller Moss (+1800)

I’ve been fading Michigan since the offseason, so why stop now? Before you claim I am taking an unnecessary jab at the Wolverines, my point here is that there is value on USC quarterback Miller Moss before Saturday’s game kicks off.

My expectation is that Moss and the USC will have another nice performance against Michigan. This should drop Moss’ NCAAF odds heading into Week 5. If USC can be in contention to win the Big Ten, Moss should very much be in the Heisman mix.

2. Colorado Star Travis Hunter (+2500) is Having a Historic Season

Travis Hunter is worth mentioning here just because of his insane production for Colorado. Hunter is playing nearly every snap for the Buffs.

The two-way star already has five touchdowns and an interceptions through the first three games. My only fear with Hunter is that Colorado’s record could hurt his chances to contend.

That’s also why Hunter is listed at +2500 at the BetUS sportsbook because you are getting that discount built in. This is still worth a flier as a bit of a lottery ticket.

3. Don’t Give Up on Texas QB Quinn Ewers (+2000) After Injury

Most people are going to explain why Quinn Ewers’ Heisman chances have ended after his recent injury. We’re not those people.

Ewers will need to return to the field sooner rather than later to win the hardware. Yet, I think Ewers can afford to miss a game or two and still remain in contention.

Texas is listing Ewers as day-to-day, which could just be the Longhorns’ way of trying to make their opponents prepare for two quarterbacks. What’s crazy is that teammate Arch Manning now has better NCAA odds (+1800) to win the Heisman Trophy than Ewers (+2000).

Heading into last week, Ewers was the Heisman favorite at +500. We’ve been talking about Ewers for weeks, and I am not going to stop now just because of the injury.

Did Ewers’ Heisman chances take a hit? Yes, but so did his price.

To paraphrase Warren Buffet, let’s get greedy when others are fearful. Now is the time to bet online to snag an Ewers’ Heisman futures ticket.
