Streaking Teams Bidding for Title Game

One of Saturday’s matchups could have Big Ten Championship Game implications when top Big Ten West teams meet.

With a win over Minnesota, the Hawkeyes would control their own path to the game, as Iowa has the tiebreaker over both Wisconsin and Purdue. The Boilermakers also have a strong path to the championship, since they will play two of the conference’s worst teams in their final two games. With a win on Saturday and in their final game against Nebraska, the Hawkeyes just need Illinois to lose one of its final two games to make it to the title game.

Minnesota’s chances of making it to the championship game are lower, as Purdue and Illinois hold the tiebreaker over the Gophers. If the Gophers were to win Saturday and their final game at Wisconsin, they also need the Boilermakers and Illini to drop one of their final two to secure a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game.
