The Jayhawks started 5-0 straight up before losing in Week 6 to No. 17 TCU and going on to finish 1-6 in the last 7 weeks. Their most recent win was on Nov. 5 against No. 18 Oklahoma State, but the Jayhawks finished the season 0-3.
Kansas’ record against the spread was also 0-3 to end the season but a slightly better 2-5 in their final seven weeks.

Kansas’ offense has been potent and ranks ninth in yards per play. However, its defense is a mess, and the Jayhawks allowed a combined 145 points in the previous three weeks. The Jayhawks surrendered at least 35 points in six last seven games.
The problem is that their offense fell out of gear when quarterback Jaylon Daniels got injured. Things got so bad that the Jayhawks have the 7th worst return on investment against the spread (-61.82%) in the entire nation. Daniels is back, but their tailspin is still in full swing.
Size Matters
While Kansas will score, their defensive line is going to get manhandled by the Razorbacks on offense. Arkansas’ combination of size and speed will be a nightmare matchup for the undersized Jayhawks.

Well, at an average of 328 pounds, they are bigger than the Los Angeles Chargers and Buffalo Bills this season. The Razorbacks also average more weight than the heaviest member of the Jayhawks’ defensive line at 315.
In contrast to the Jayhawks’ season, Arkansas started off 2-4 against the spread but finished strong at 4-2 ATS. So, while the Jayhawks are plummeting into a pit of despair, Arkansas had a decent 3-3 end to the season.
