Liberty vs Wake Forest Prediction, Game Preview, Live Stream, Odds & Picks

The Liberty Flames and Wake Forest Femon Deacons are both feeling good about themselves. Both just registered satisfying victories, reason to be optimistic early in the season.

They meet this Saturday, with Wake heavily favored on the college football odds. Should those who bet online lay the points with the Deacons? or is there value with the underdog?

Let’s check the latest NCAAF picks, stats, injury reports, and NCAAF odds for Liberty vs Wake Forest. We’ve plenty of NCAAF predictions for you to consider.

Liberty Flames

The Liberty Flames just defeated the UAB Blazers, 21-14, at home. It was very impressive not only because UAB has been very good in recent seasons (which the Blazers have), but because Liberty is dealing with a quarterback problem, too.

Liberty had very high hopes for this season because Charlie Brewer, who had led Baylor to within an eyelash of the College Football Playoff in 2019 before transferring to Utah, chose to go to Liberty this season.

Brewer was concussed early in the season, currently on the shelf. The Flames have had to go to second- and third-string quarterbacks this season.

Shutting down the UAB offense and grinding out a defense-oriented victory was a testament to this team’s resilience and prowess.

Liberty will certainly need another great defensive performance if it expects to beat Wake Forest. If you’re thinking of taking the points in the sportsbook, that’s how you’re looking at this game.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons

At the very start of September, it was unknown if star quarterback Sam Hartman would be able to return quickly to the Deacons.

Several weeks, according to some rumors, but there was no certainty about the timing. Hartman had an undisclosed medical condition in the summer. He was held out of play, and didn’t go in the team’s Sept.1st opener against VMI.

Wake feared Hartman would not be able to play against Clemson (Sept. 24th), not to mention Sept. 10th against Vanderbilt. During the week prior to the game with Vandy, Hartman was medically cleared.

He did play well as Wake Forest’s offense roared to life in a 45-25 win over the Commodores. Hartman on the field means everything to this Wake Forest team.

The Deacons made the ACC title game last season due to Hartman, with a high ceiling if their star is healthy.

Liberty vs Wake Forest Injury Report

Liberty quarterback Charlie Brewer is out, as is receiver C.J. Daniels. Running back T.J. Green is questionable.

Wake Forest receiver Horatio Fields is out, as is defensive back Coby Davis.

Liberty vs Wake Forest Prediction

The UAB team Liberty beat last week was not competent at quarterback, but Sam Hartman is a different story.

Wake Forest should score a lot, racing past Liberty by a large margin. It’s a big spread in this one, but take Wake with your college football picks.
