Most of the early money has come for LSU to win its sixth straight game, but the best value with NCAAF odds could be with the home side, which comes off a massive upset win over Tennessee.

Betting Confidence with LSU

After winning five games on the bounce, LSU has attracted plenty of interest with NCAAF lines at -2½. There is a lot of respect for the Tigers, who come off an overtime win over Ole Miss 29-26.

It was a good victory at home, but playing on the road won’t be as easy, especially against a Razorbacks team coming off a win over Tennessee followed by a bye. LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier didn’t play well against Ole Miss, throwing three touchdowns but two potentially costly interceptions.

“Hopefully, this will be a huge growth moment for me in taking my game to the next level,” Nussmeier said. “I played bad, but we had a chance to win the ball game and I had to focus on that.”

Their only road game was a 36-33 win over South Carolina, which isn’t the greatest form guide. Alabama, though, was only able to beat South Carolina by two points last week, so it could measure up well.

We’re finding it tough to back LSU at -2½. We could have been interested in taking them at +3, but giving away points for the road team is difficult.

Razorbacks Rested and Ready

The Razorbacks would have liked to play last week following a big win over Tennessee, but being well-rested only helps their chances against LSU.

It’s another tough SEC game for Arkansas, but after beating Auburn and Tennessee in two of its last three games, we expected more confidence with NCAA football betting lines throughout the week.

The Razorbacks might have lost to Texas A&M between those wins, but it was a close game, and we only need to see slight improvement from quarterback Taylen Green to have more confidence in this team.

Green has five touchdowns and five interceptions, but Arkansas typically relies on its running game, where Jaquinden Jackson has 99 carries for 566 yards and a whopping 10 touchdowns.

Expect some ground and pound football from the Razorbacks, who scored the final 16 points to oust the Volunteers 19-14.

“Our kids, our coaches did a wonderful job of preparing our guys and making them believe that we can go win tonight,” Arkansas coach Sam Pittman said.

We expect to see the same preparation against LSU, and a win could see Arkansas take the third spot with SEC rankings.

An Upset is on the Cards

Getting a +2½ line with the Razorbacks is worth including with college football betting picks, but getting +115 for Arkansas to win outright is even better.

Arkansas might be 4-2, but it could easily be 4-0 after losing by a combined margin of 10 points, including an overtime setback against Oklahoma State. LSU is there for the taking, and we’re confident of a home victory.
