Michigan State vs Boston College Odds and Spreads
Spartans Unbeaten Under New Coach
Michigan State crushed overmatched Prairie View 40-0 on Saturday but narrowly failed to cover the college football betting line as a 42-point favorite. The Spartans struggled in their season opener but managed to get past Florida Atlantic 16-10. Michigan State beat Maryland 27-24 in Week 2, but again, the Spartans didn’t look very convincing against the Terrapins.
Sophomore quarterback Aidan Chiles threw for one score and ran for another in Saturday’s win over HBCU-based Prairie View. Junior defensive back Charles Brantley ran back an interception a school-record 100 yards in the win.
Michigan State might be in the beginning stages of rebuilding its football program under new head coach Jonathan Smith. Still, the Spartans can match last season’s win total by upsetting the Eagles and defying NCAAF predictions on Saturday.

BC Looks to Rebound from First Loss
Boston College stunned Florida State 28-13 in its regular- season opener and crushed Duquesne 56-0 in Week 2. The Eagles were on the wrong end of a narrow 27-21 road loss against then-No. 6 Missouri on Saturday.
Junior quarterback Thomas Castellanos passed for 249 yards and three touchdowns but tossed two costly interceptions in the loss. The Eagles were held to just 49 rushing yards against the Tigers.
Despite its loss, BC is a solid favorite in this Week 4 matchup. Boston College is 4-1 ATS in its last five games and has the statistical edge in almost every category on both sides of the ball. Michigan State is 3-6 ATS in its last nine games and just 3-10 SU in its last 13 road dates.
There’s only one real CFP hopeful in this Week 4 matchup and it’s not rebuilding Michigan State. Back the BC Eagles to cover the college football betting odds spread by getting the double-digit win at home!
