NC State vs Clemson Prediction, Game Preview, Live Stream, Odds & Picks

As October begins, conference play becomes much more contentious. This ACC showdown between No. 5 Clemson and 10th-ranked North Carolina State is the biggest game of the week in college football.

Clemson (4-0) escaped Wake Forest with a double-overtime win last week in a game that easily went over the total in terms of the college football odds. They’re seeking revenge against the Wolfpack (4-0), who defeated the Tigers last year.

Clemson can solidify its status as the ACC favorite in terms of the NCAAF odds. Let’s take a closer look at this showdown.

Let’s check the latest NCAAF odds, stats, injury reports, and NCAAF lines for NC State vs Clemson. We’ve plenty of Vegas NCAAF odds for you to consider.

NC State Wolfpack

This is it. This is North Carolina State’s big chance to become the favorite in the Atlantic Coast Conference – not just the Atlantic Division, but the whole league.

The Wolfpack have one of the ACC’s best defenses, and they know that they can contain the Clemson offense because they did so last year in a 27-21 overtime win.

North Carolina State’s challenge will be on offense. Can quarterback Devin Leary go into Clemson, on the road at night, and play a big-time game versus a defense that allowed 45 points to Wake Forest last week?

The Wolfpack will be very intent on correcting their flaws and mistakes. North Carolina State’s offense did not function very well in Week 1 against East Carolina, a team which just lost to Navy as a 17-point favorite in the sportsbook.

If North Carolina State struggled against East Carolina on the road, that doesn’t bode well for this road test at Clemson.

North Carolina State has not had much success in its football existence. This is a huge chance to make a breakthrough and permanently change the identity of this program.

Clemson Tigers

The Clemson Tigers’ offense did not look very good through three games, but in Week 4, the pieces came together.

Quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei, who struggled so much in the 2021 season, made a lot of big plays in clutch situations.

The Tigers were in big trouble, trailing by seven points deep into the fourth quarter, but they were able to tie the game and then get a defensive stop late in regulation to force overtime.

They were able to pull out a 51-45 victory and remain unbeaten. Keeping Uiagalelei confident and in form is the main task for this team.

The defense is not going to have games as bad as the one it just endured against Wake Forest. If that’s the case, the offense needs to maintain consistency against a good North Carolina State defense.

NC State vs Clemson Prediction

The N.C. State defense is for real, but its offense is not. The Wolfpack will fight well enough to keep the game close and cover the spread, but they won’t win outright.
