The point totals set on the college football lines at this point in the season can sometimes be a little inflated due to blowout wins in non-conference games. Teams can look like offensive juggernauts against non-conference competition, but once league play begins, it can be a little harder to score.

We’re taking a look at the Week 6 schedule for college football and we’ve found a few good games to bet the under. Read our three top picks and make your wagers to get yourself a nice little payout for the weekend.

Top 3 Unders You Should Bet in Week 6
1. Michigan Hits Road for Big Ten Clash vs Washington
The new Big Ten leads to some long road trips for teams, so when the Michigan Wolverines play a road game for the first time this season, they’ll be doing it in the Pacific Northwest against the Washington Huskies. Michigan (4-1, 2-0 Big Ten) has bounced back from an early loss to Texas, but the Wolverines haven’t exactly been thriving, especially offensively.
Michigan, a slight underdog in NCAAF odds, has two straight three-point wins with quarterback Alex Orji taking over as the starter, passing for just 133 yards in those two games. Orji is much better at running the ball, which makes him good for the Wolverines, who are at their best when they are staying on the ground.
This sums up the passing game issues.
1) almost immediate pressure off the right edge
2) not a single receiver gains separation. Everyone is closely covered. This has to be fixed or the pass game will never improve. pic.twitter.com/ztK2tW9DsI

Running back Kalel Mullings has emerged as the best ground gainer for the Wolverines, rushing for 540 yards and six touchdowns. But Michigan isn’t racking up the points like it did in its run to the national title a season ago, and all that running shortens games with the clock running for most of the team’s offensive possessions.
Washington (3-2, 1-1) is also struggling a bit offensively, averaging just 24.4 points, with 65 of its total of 122 points coming against Eastern Michigan and Weber State. The Huskies, much like the Wolverines, are not the same team as the one that played for the national title, with a new coach, new quarterback and new playmakers.
These two teams will battle it out, but the total of 41 isn’t going to be reached. One of our college football picks for this game is it being a low-scoring affair.

2. Army Looks To Keep Rolling vs Tulsa
The Army Black Knights sit in a tie atop the American Athletic Conference standings heading into this weekend thanks to a devastating running game and defense. Army (4-0, 3-0 AAC) looks to keep both hitting on all cylinders against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (2-3, 0-1) on Saturday.
Quarterback Bryson Daily has been very good at running the team’s offense, leading the Black Knights in rushing with 492 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s scored three times in each of the last two weeks as Army has rolled to easy victories.
Part of the ease of those victories are thanks to a defense that has held opponents to a total of 42 points through four contests.

The Black Knights take on a Tulsa team that has scored more than 24 points just once this season, in its opening win over Northwestern State. In its one game against a Power 4 Conference foe, Tulsa managed just 10 points in a blowout loss to Oklahoma State.
Freshman quarterback Kirk Francis has thrown for 980 yards and six touchdowns, but he also has four interceptions on the season. He’s going to get a lot of pressure from the Army defense in this one, so mistakes could be a problem.
Army shortens games with its run-oriented offense, and its defense keeps opponents in check. The Black Knights roll to victory in this one, with the total finishing under 50½, so take the under when you bet online.

3. NC State Tries To Hold Wake Forest Offense In Check
Not every game this weekend involves ranked or undefeated teams, but they are all good for betting on. The ACC clash between the Wake Forest Demon Deacons and the NC State Wolfpack is a good example.
Wake Forest (1-3, 0-1 ACC) is struggling, losing three straight contests after a season-opening win over North Carolina A&T. The Demon Deacons have been close in a couple of games, including last week’s three-point loss to Louisiana.
They face NC State (3-2, 0-1), which started the season in the top 25 rankings but has disappointed a bit. The Wolfpack did get a nice win over Northern Illinois last weekend, but they have a ways to go to meet the college football predictions for them from the preseason.
One problem for the Wolfpack has been at the quarterback position, where starter Grayson McCall hasn’t played since a Sept. 14 win over Louisiana Tech due to an undisclosed injury. He has yet to take the field again, leaving freshman CJ Bailey to man the controls of the team’s offense. Bailey had just 109 passing yards last week, though he did throw a touchdown pass.
We still like the NC State Wolfpack to come away from this one with the win, but with an offense hampered by McCall’s absence, it won’t be as dominant as expected. We don’t see these two teams getting over the total of 54½ points, something you should keep in mind when you do your online sports betting this week.
