3 Legs to Bet for Week 10 Underdog Parlay

1. Missouri Snaps Skid vs Oklahoma

The No. 24 Missouri Tigers have been up and down all season, thanks in part to injuries to some key players. Missouri has had quarterback Brady Cook injured a couple of times, most recently leaving the Tigers’ loss to Alabama two weeks ago with a hand/wrist injury.

There is still some doubt as to whether Cook will be able to play vs the Oklahoma Sooners this week, and that can be a concern in making this pick. Cook was listed as questionable on the first injury report of the week from the Tigers, so monitor NCAA football news for his status.

Cook was listed as doubtful on the first injury report prior to the Alabama game with a high ankle sprain, but was upgraded to questionable before starting vs the Crimson Tide. Why is having Cook so important to Missouri?

He’s passed for 1,575 yards and seven touchdowns this season, helping the Tigers to a 6-2 mark. His backup, Drew Pyne, who would be the starter if Cook can’t go? In two relief appearances when Cook has been injured, Pyne has had one scoring drive of a field goal and turned the ball over five times in 13 possessions.

The Tigers are facing an Oklahoma team that has struggled in SEC play and only comes in off a win because it faced a patsy in November per conference tradition, routing Maine 59-14 last weekend. Missouri is coming off a bye, so injuries to Cook and many other key players have had time to heal.

We think the Tigers will be healed and ready for the Sooners, so they’re the first of our upset picks you should put in a parlay when betting online.

2. Vanderbilt Squares Off With South Carolina in SEC

How quickly things change. The Vanderbilt Commodores were the SEC darling after a stunning home upset of then-No. 1 Alabama in early October. Now, after going 3-1 since then with its only loss being to Texas by three points, Vanderbilt is an underdog at home against the South Carolina Gamecocks this weekend.

South Carolina is coming off its own news-making upset, knocking off Texas A&M 44-20 at home last week. The Gamecocks have shown some spark this season, and when they put things together, they can come up with big wins or play favored teams close (see a 27-25 loss at Alabama).

But Vanderbilt has been the more consistent team this season, becoming bowl eligible for the first time since 2018 with a win over Auburn last weekend.

Senior quarterback Diego Pavia leads the way for the Commodores. He has 1,677 yards and 15 touchdowns as a passer, and has a team-high 563 rushing yards with four scores. His ability to run the ball will come in handy against a South Carolina defense that can bring the heat.

The Gamecocks are third in the country with 31 sacks as a team, including three in last week’s win over Texas A&M. We like Pavia’s pocket presence to keep him from taking too many sacks this week, as the Commodores notch yet another win.

Either bet Vanderbilt to get the upset victory at home or include it in your NCAAF picks and parlays.

3. ACC Rivalry Renewed As Duke Upsets NC State

A 27-mile trip is all it takes to get from Duke to NC State, so it makes sense that the two teams have a long heated rivalry. The Blue Devils are looking to add another intriguing chapter to that rivalry with an upset win this weekend.

Recent form suggests that the Wolfpack is entering the matchup in better for, but a closer look at the Duke vs. North Carolina State betting trends tell a different story.

Duke comes into this game on a two-game losing streak, but the Blue Devils’ two opponents in those losses – Miami and SMU – are a combined 17-1, including 10-0 in conference play. Meanwhile, NC State enters Saturday’s contest with a two-game winning streak, but those two wins came against Stanford and California, who are a combined 1-9 in ACC play.

The Wolfpack have had an up-and-down campaign, with quarterback Grayson McCall suffering multiple injuries before deciding to retire after the most recent – a concussion in a loss to Wake Forest on Oct. 5. Freshman CJ Bailey has taken over as the starter and continues to improve, throwing five touchdowns and no interceptions during NC State’s two-game winning streak.

But NC State is now playing a better team in Duke, which is also looking for a big win against a rival.

The Blue Devils are led by sophomore quarterback Maalik Murphy, who has thrown for 2,121 yards and 20 touchdowns. Murphy does have eight interceptions, including three last week vs Miami, but he also has thrown for three touchdowns in each of the last two games.

While it won’t be easy, Duke should benefit from an easier opponent this weekend with Murphy having another big game. Put the Blue Devils in your college football predictions for upsets this weekend and you’ll come out a winner.
