3 Legs to Bet for Week 7 Moneyline Parlay

1. Rutgers Tries to Get Back to Winning vs Wisconsin

A pair of 1-1 teams square off in a Big Ten matchup as the Rutgers Scarlet Knights host the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday. Rutgers is coming off its first loss of the season, falling on the road to Nebraska last weekend, 14-7.

The Scarlet Knights (4-1, 1-1) had been winning close games prior to that loss, beating both Virginia Tech and Washington by three points. They’ll try to get back to winning – and not by a close margin – by handing the ball to senior Kyle Monangai and letting him power through the Wisconsin defense.

Monangai was held to a season-low 78 yards by the Cornhuskers and failed to find the end zone for the first time this season as well. Despite that, Monangai is second in the Big Ten in rushing this season, tallying 667 yards and scoring six touchdowns.

Wisconsin lived up to the college football predictions for last week with a 52-6 rout of Purdue at home, but the Badgers are still a work in progress for coach Luke Fickell. Quarterback Braedyn Locke threw for 359 yards and three touchdowns, but that was against a Boilermakers squad that has been routinely picked apart.

The sophomore was thrust into the starting role after Tyler Van Dyke was lost for the season with a torn ACL suffered against Alabama. While Locke did put up impressive numbers against Purdue, he was also picked off two times by the Boilermakers. The Scarlet Knights will certainly be harder to throw against and will be more than happy to force turnovers by Locke.

Make sure to include Rutgers on the moneyline in any parlay you put together when you’re doing your online sports betting this weekend.

2. BYU Stays Perfect At Home vs Arizona

One of the better stories in the college football news this season has been the BYU Cougars, who are 5-0 after winning on the road Sept. 28 against Baylor. The Cougars will put that perfect mark on the line against the visiting Arizona Wildcats this weekend.

BYU is No. 14 in the latest AP Top 25 poll and is one of five teams currently unbeaten in Big 12 play. This comes just one season after the Cougars finished with a total of five wins in its first year as a member of the conference.

I was proud of the team, proud of the way the guys responded, their response to adversity and within the game, and their willingness to stick together,” BYU coach Kalani Sitake said after the Cougars held off a second-half rally by Baylor. “That was something special.

Quarterback Jake Retzlaff has been solid for BYU this season, throwing for 1,208 yards and 12 touchdowns while also rushing for 156 yards and a score. The junior does have five interceptions, so he has to be careful against the Arizona defense.

The Wildcats have been up and down this season, holding Utah to just 10 points but allowing 31 to Kansas State the prior week and 22 to Texas Tech last weekend. Quarterback Noah Fifita has also been prone to throwing picks, giving up six interceptions this season while throwing for 1,361 yards and seven touchdowns.

Fifita has thrown at least one pick in every game this season, including two against the Red Raiders in last week’s contest. He’ll throw at least one on Saturday as the Cougars stay unbeaten with a win at home.

3. Louisville Hits Road For Bounceback Win vs Virginia

The Louisville Cardinals were cruising this season through three games, picking up three wins and outsourcing their opponents by a cumulative score of 142-33. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, the last two games haven’t been quite as fun, as they’ve dropped a pair of one-touchdown decisions to Notre Dame and SMU.

Coach Jeff Brohm tried to take the blame for last weekend’s home loss to the Mustangs, but his team has to execute better to pick up wins. Quarterback Tyler Shough took three sacks and threw a critical interception late in the game when the Cardinals were trying to drive for the tying score.

Still, Shough has been solid this season after transferring from Texas Tech in the offseason, throwing for 1,443 yards and 13 touchdowns. The senior has a dynamic threat to throw to in senior Ja’Corey Brooks, who had three grabs for 121 yards and two touchdowns a week ago. On the season, Brooks has 25 catches for 489 yards and six scores.

He’ll be a problem for the Virginia Cavaliers’ defense this weekend. Virginia has gotten off to a 4-1 start, including a 2-0 mark in ACC play, but it has been susceptible to big passing days. The Cavaliers’ only loss of the season came against Maryland, which threw for 263 yards and two scores against them.

Look for Shough and Co. to have that same kind of success on Saturday, as Louisville gets back into the ACC race with a key road win. The Cardinals should be one of your college football picks when you put together a favorites parlay this weekend.
