Terrapins Bracing for Buckeyes
The No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes roll into College Park to take on the Maryland Terrapins. After going 1-2 against the spread (ATS) over the last three games, the Buckeyes (10-0, 7-0 Big Ten) will be looking for style points, especially with quarterback C.J. Stroud separating himself as the Heisman Trophy front-runner (+125).
Maryland (6-4, 3-4) hopes for a turnaround game after going 0-5 ATS in the last five games.

Let’s check the latest college football odds, stats, injury reports and college football lines for Ohio State vs Maryland. We’ve plenty of NCAA football odds for you to consider.
Ohio State’s Battered Backfield
The Buckeyes have problems that must be addressed in a hurry ahead of their matchup with No. 3 Michigan on Nov. 26.
The run game is the most pressing issue. It finally had success last week in the 56-14 win over Indiana with 340 rushing yards on 7.9 yards per carry. However, running back Miyan Williams, who had over 140 rushing yards in the first half, went down with an ankle injury. TreVeyon Henderson has also missed the last two games with a foot injury.
OSU could be without its two top running backs. This is an extremely thin room with true freshman Dallan Hayden as the only solid option behind Williams and Henderson.

Avoiding props for Ohio State’s run game seems like a wise decision.
Without a run game, the Buckeyes national title odds will continue to rise. Right now, OSU is the second choice to win it all at +225, behind Georgia at -125.
Maryland Hits Rut
Maryland has played well at home with a 4-1 record. However, Ohio State is a different challenge. The Terrapins could be hard-pressed to cover against the Buckeyes’ high-flying offense, especially with their 2-3 ATS record at home.
The Terrapins did contend with No. 3 Michigan on the road on Sept. 24. Maryland lost 34-27 and easily covered a three-score spread. Due to injuries, the Terrapins have become a different team. Last week, they were dismantled 30-0 by No. 14 Penn State. Two weeks ago, Maryland fell 23-10 to Wisconsin.
Since quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa’s return from a knee injury, he has not been the same, posting under 100 passing yards in both games. The offensive line has also taken a huge step backward, allowing 12 sacks in the last two games.
Maryland will need to ride the run game to cover against Ohio State. The Buckeyes have allowed at least 150 rushing yards in back-to-back games. Meanwhile, Terrapins running back Roman Hemby has averaged over four yards per carry in the last two games despite the O-line’s struggles.

Ohio State vs Maryland Picks & Prediction
Ohio State’s offense will be challenged if Williams and Henderson are out. However, the Buckeyes can easily win this game just by passing. OSU ranks fourth in passing yards per attempt while Maryland is 67th in allowed passing yards per game. Also, the Buckeyes have a talented pass rush that should feast against a Terrapins’ offensive line that allowed seven sacks last game. Ohio State will hit the money line with a cover.
For the total, the Buckeyes have gone over in seven of the last eight games. Also, Maryland went over in its last two home games. As mentioned, Terrapins running back Hemby can have success against OSU. Go with the over.
