Oklahoma St. vs Baylor Prediction, Preview, Stream, Odds & Picks
There’s a rematch of last season’s Big 12 title game taking place in Week 5, as No. 9 Oklahoma State heads to Waco to face No. 16 Baylor. This will have some massive implications in the Big-12 season, as both teams both hope to return to the championship game once again.
The Cowboys (3-0) had a bye week after toying with Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 63-7. The Bears (3-1, 1-0) began their Big-12 play last week, beating Iowa St. on the road, 31-24, as 2½-point dogs.
Let’s check the latest NCAAF odds, stats, injury reports, and NCAAF lines for Oklahoma St. vs Baylor. We’ve plenty of Vegas NCAAF odds for you to consider.
It’s Oklahoma St.
Early in the season, Oklahoma State has presented itself as one of the premier offenses in college football. The Cowboys are leading the nation, averaging 51.7 points, while their 511.3 yards per game are eighth in the rankings.
Quarterback Spencer Sanders has 13 touchdowns, 10 through the air. He has 916 passing yards in three games this season
Running back Dominic Richardson has been solid, averaging five yards on his 43 carries (two touchdowns). Wide receiver Braydon Johnson has been putting on a clinic, already at 300 yards (14 catches, three touchdowns).
Despite the gaudy stats to date, it’s an offense yet to be tested. Their lone formidable opponent was Arizona State, beating the on-decline Sun Devils,34-17. ASU fired coach Herman Edwards seconds after the game ended, so… The Cowboys totaled 121 points in the other two games.
Baylor’s Been Tested
Through the first four games of the season, Baylor has had two cakewalks and two grind-it-out games against tough opponents. A back-and-forth affair ended with an overtime loss to then No. 21 BYU, while last week’s 31-24 win at Iowa St. was another early-season test.
Against the Cyclones, the Bears had sufficient offense to win the game. Quarterback Blake Shapen, who struggled against BYU, had 238 yards and three touchdowns, perhaps the best game in his college career. Richard Reese didn’t have his best game on the ground but finished with an important rushing touchdown in the second half.
The defense surrendered just 66 yards on the ground against a team that plays through its run game, along with two interceptions.

Oklahoma St.’s injury report features two wideouts, Blaine Green and Jaden Bray, both questionable with arm injuries. Baylor has running back Taye McWilliams listed as day-to-day (undisclosed injury). None of these are front-line players, however.

Oklahoma St. vs Baylor Prediction
This seems to be a pick ‘em. Oklahoma St. has one of the best offenses in the nation but hasn’t faced anyone of substance. Baylor’schad two tests, and looked great in the last one.
This may come down to the Cowboys’ defense. While the offense gets its points, it’s the defense needing to keep the Bears in check. Oklahoma St. surrendered 44 points in Week 1 against Central Michigan, a bad sign. On the other hand, the Cowboys are off a bye week, so they should be more than ready to see their toughest opponent of the early season.
