Head-to-Head
Utah, as a 3½-point favorite in the Las Vegas odds, had little trouble with Oregon in their regular-season meeting. The Utes returned a punt 78 yards for a touchdown on the final play of the first half to take a 28-0 lead. The total of 58 was never approached. The teams have split the last six meetings with the line never coming into play. The underdog won four of those games. Last month’s under snapped a three-game over streak in the series.

Oregon shrugged off the Utah loss by winning the North Division with a 38-29 victory over rival Oregon State. The Ducks were a 7½-point favorite when betting online and were covering for good when they made it 14-0 with 4 minutes, 7 seconds remaining in the first quarter. Players who bet under 60½ cringed when the Beavers, trailing 38-21, converted a fourth-and-10 with 1:20 left. Over players rejoiced as Oregon State completed the scoring on the next play.

Utah, the South Division champion, tuned up for its trip to Vegas with a 28-13 triumph over Colorado. Betting on the Game
It seems like an easy bet. Utah crushed Oregon two weeks ago. What’s changed? The venue. Rice-Eccles Stadium was rocking on a typical fall evening in Salt Lake City for the last meeting. Friday’s rematch will be played in a sterile Sin City stadium.
The oddsmakers think a repeat could be in order, though. They have in essence doubled the Utes’ level of favoritism with the line adjusted due to the neutral site. Oregon has been in this position before on a bigger stage.
The Utes were a 6½-point favorite in the 2019 Pac-12 title game in Santa Clara, Calif., but the Ducks rolled 37-15. Six of the eight meetings since Utah joined the Pac-12 have gone over, including that one, after the under prevailed last month. The Utes’ last two games have stayed under after their previous six went over.
The spread for Friday’s game has increased one-half point while the total dropped by the same margin. The money line has remained the same. Oregon should find the indoor setting more to its liking, especially on offense.
The Ducks didn’t appear to show any emotional effects from their loss to Utah while easily beating Oregon State. It could be all systems go for the Ducks to exact revenge.
