Pac-12 Week 8 Best Bets Preview: Look for Utah To Upset USC, while Washington & Oregon Dominate

The Pac-12 went through a whirlwind of emotions last weekend, as powerhouse schools, USC and Oregon saw their postseason plans take a strong hit after losing to Notre Dame and Washington, respectively.

In USC’s case, no NCAA football score predictions expert could have seen what the Fighting Irish had in store for them. While for Oregon, if you want to talk about going down and leaving everything on the field, that loss against the Huskies embodies that.

Now, as Week 8 approaches, and with all of the top teams in the conference understanding that there is no more room for slipping, let’s break down three of the best bets for this week’s Pac-12 matchups.

Let’s take a closer look at some NCAA football odds worth considering.

Let’s Start with a Bang, Take Utah To Beat USC

The narrative for this USC vs Utah game would be so different if the Trojans hadn’t gotten stomped by Notre Dame last weekend. Since changing what’s already happened is not an option, and with Utah having one of the best defenses in the country, let’s talk about the Utes handing Caleb Williams his second loss of the season.

If there’s one thing we learned about last week’s debacle against Notre Dame, and which is something all fans should consider here, is the fact that Williams and his offense do not fare well against stout defenses.

Last week, USC turned the ball over five times, something that seems unthinkable from a group by perennial Heisman Trophy odds favorite Williams.

As USC prepares to play against a defensive front like Utah’s, which loves pressuring and sacking QBs, and which is also one of the best against the run in the country, it’s inevitable to start blasting the upset alert here!

Even without last season’s Pac-12 MVP, QB Cam Rising, Utah has still put on quite the season, especially on the defensive side of the ball. With their only loss coming against No.12 Oregon State a couple of weeks ago, Utah looks more than ready to tear Williams and the rest of USC’s offense a new one and maybe doom the Trojans season along the way.

So, yes, take Utah’s defense to cream Williams and USC’s offense once again and score the Pac12 NCAAF odds upset of the week!

Washington To Cover Easily against Arizona State

Sorry, I don’t care if Arizona State is coming into this game off a bye. I also don’t care if the Sun Devils’ last two games were lost by 3 points each. As the Sun Devils prepare to square off against Washington at Husky Stadium, I’m all about taking the Huskies to blow Arizona State off the field and of course, cover the college football betting spread here.

MichaelPenix Jr and his offense are too much for the Sun Devils to handle, it doesn’t take a football savant to figure that out. After the performance Washington put on against Oregon last weekend, it’s starting to look difficult for any team in the Pac-12 to stop the Huskies this year.

As a matter of fact, you know what? I’m so convinced of Washington crushing Arizona State here, that I say take the Huskies covering, as well as the over in the total and even a Penix passing prop to strike up a strong college football parlay picks ticket and win big.

College Football Pick: Washington -26 (-110)

Oregon Will Demolish Total After Last Week’s ‘L’

A fun fact about me you probably didn’t need to know but what feels about right here is that my favorite animals are ducks. They’re cute, they’re funny, and above all, if they’re ticked off, they’ll come at you with vengeance. On Saturday, as Oregon plays host to Washington State in Autzen Stadium, I can see the Ducks coming into the game ready to make the Cougars pay for last week’s loss against Washington.

For Bo Nix and his Oregon team, the mission is simple. If they wish to have a chance at making the conference title game, they have to beat everyone left on the schedule, and they have to do it in the most dominant way possible.

In short, it’s going to suck to be in Washington State this Saturday.

If Oregon plays as it did last week against Washington, which it clearly outplayed on offense, even in a losing effort, beating the over in the total will be like a walk in the park. With the total slated at 61 points, it would be a crying shame for online betting fans not to take this bet, so please do.
