Big Ten schedule makers get failing grades for not having a game between Penn State and Oregon during the regular season. Thanks to another loss by Ohio State against Michigan, that matchup will take place in Saturday’s Big Ten Championship Game.

Oregon can secure the top seed in the upcoming College Football Playoffs with a win. If Penn State wins, the Nittany Lions will be in the conversation to be the top seed.

The college football spread has Oregon favored by 3.5 points in the Big Ten title game with -180 odds to win the game outright. Penn State has +155 odds to win the Big Ten title for the first time since 2016. The total is set at 50.

Oregon got a huge lift when defensive end Jordan Burch returned for the regular-season finale after missing four of the previous six games. He is the only one of Oregon’s top 16 tacklers to miss games this season. Defensive back Elliot Washington has missed the last two games for Penn State.

Here’s a look at some Penn State vs Oregon prop picks in the Big Ten Championship Game. The matchup is set for 8 p.m. ET on Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and will air on CBS.

3 Prop Bets for Penn State vs Oregon

1. Oregon RB Jordan James First TD (+390)

Oregon running back Jordan James and receiver Tez Johnson both have at least 10 touchdowns this season and could be top options in the touchdown prop bets heading into Saturday’s Big Ten Championship Game.

However, Johnson missed two of the previous three games for the Ducks and had a quiet showing when he returned against Washington.

James has 29 scoring runs in 36 career games at Oregon. He has run for a touchdown in each of the last four games.

When making NCAAF picks, James is an option at +200 to score 2+ touchdowns. There is better value at +390 for James to be the first touchdown scorer.

2. Penn State RB Nicholas Singleton Anytime TD

Since arriving at Penn State, running backs Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen have formed a dynamic 1-2 punch in the backfield. This season, Allen has been the busier of the two running backs while Singleton has the most rushing yards and touchdowns.

Per Penn State vs Oregon stats, they have combined for six receiving touchdowns and run for 12 more scores to get the Nittany Lions into the Big Ten title game for the first time since 2016.

Singleton has scored three times compared to one TD for Allen in bowl games in the previous two seasons. So even though Allen offers more value at +100 to score a touchdown, we prefer Singleton at -125 to have +1 touchdowns on Saturday.

For online betting, take Singleton to find his way into the end zone for the Nittany Lions after scoring at least one touchdown in each of the last three games.

Bet on Nicholas Singleton to have 1+ Touchdowns (+125)

3. Penn State TE Tyler Warren

Penn State’s Tyler Warren needs just 22 yards to join Bowling Green’s Harold Fannin Jr. as the only tight ends in major college football to top 1,000 receiving yards this season.

Since being held to four catches for 47 yards in the loss to Ohio State, he has averaged 7.5 receptions and 93 receiving yards over the last four games. He has also scored in two of the last three games.

Oregon’s top receiver, Tez Johnson, had more than 1,000 receiving yards in 2023 after transferring from Troy. In the bowl win against Liberty, he finished with 11 catches for 172 yards and scored a TD in the 45-6 win.

Johnson missed two recent games with a shoulder injury but he is good to go for the Big Ten final, according to college football news.

Penn State has given up more than 250 passing yards just once this season and will look to slow down the dynamic Johnson.

When making Penn State vs Oregon NCAA picks, go with Warren at -118 to have more receiving yards than Johnson.

Bet on Tyler Warren to have more receiving yards than Tez Johnson (-130)
