“We had a team meeting today and we kind of framed the game and talked about last season,” Norvell explained, per USA Today. “We lost a double-overtime game where we had 18 penalties.

“We had four turnovers, two in the red zone. We had three touchdowns called back. You just can’t win games that way. It was still a double-overtime game and a game that we should’ve won.”

Colorado vs Colorado State Pick: Prime Time for the Rams to Cover

We came out backing the Buffs in Week 1 to comfortably cruise to victory against North Dakota State. Instead, the Buffaloes were in danger of losing to the Bison (confusing, I know) before Travis Hunter’s late heroics.

Then comes Week 2 and I double down on Colorado versus Nebraska. I defend the loss as NDSU being better than people think. Yet, It was a colossal no-show by Coach Prime’s crew versus the Cornhuskers.

So, here we are in Week 3 and we’re back to the whole “fool me once” thing. Even if Colorado jumped out to a 2-0 start, this matchup would still have major warning signs.
