SEC Week 13 Best Bets: Bulldogs Offense Could Take Flight

Welcome to rivalry week with the Ole Miss-Mississippi State and Alabama-Auburn matchups drawing plenty of attention heading into the final week of the regular season in the SEC. There are also three non-conference games with only two-time defending national champion Georgia favored according to the college football betting lines this week.

With Georgia and Alabama having already secured spots in the SEC title game, the focus will turn to 5-6 Florida, Mississippi State and South Carolina teams as they try to add to the total of nine bowl-eligible teams in the SEC.

SEC Week 13 Best Bets: Bulldogs Offense Could Take Flight

Things get underway on Thursday when Ole Miss and Mississippi State square off followed by Missouri-Arkansas on Friday. Georgia looks to wrap up another perfect undefeated regular season when the Bulldogs head to Atlanta to meet Georgia Tech.

Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss and Missouri are the SEC teams listed by the Vegas college football odds as road favorites.

When it came to our best NCAA football predictions, if Kentucky took care of business against South Carolina, it would have been a 5-0 week in our best bets in Week 12.

Georgia remains first in both The Associated Press and American Football Coaches Association polls. The Bulldogs also moved ahead of Ohio State in the College Football Playoff rankings. Alabama is eighth, Missouri is ninth, Ole Miss is 12th, LSU is 14th and Tennessee is 21st in the CFP rankings.

Georgia (+230) has the best odds to win the national title. Alabama’s odds of winning the national championship moved from +600 to +650.

Here are some options to consider in Week 13 with some tempting plays for best college football bets in the Nov. 23-25 games.

Points Aplenty Between the Yellow Jackets and Bulldogs

Georgia‘s defense is still a unit to be feared. However, it is not quite as dominant as some recent defenses put out there by head coach Kirby Smart. While plenty of those who bet online are aware of Georgia’s struggles when it comes to covering as heavy favorites this season, they are also ready to jump on this game finishing over the total.

The Bulldogs are facing a much-improved Georgia Tech team led by former Texas A&M quarterback Haynes King so this game has a feel of a matchup that could feature plenty of offense.

College Football Pick: Georgia-Georgia Tech to go over the 59½-point total

Kickers Are People, Too

Missouri and Arkansas rank second and third among SEC teams in attempted field goals.

Missouri is 22-for-28 on field goals with Arkansas going 20-for-24.

The first points have come courtesy of a field goal in each of the last three games played by Missouri. That has happened five times in Arkansas games with the Razorbacks kicker Cam Little doing the honor four times.

Between the Tigers and Razorbacks, 29 drives into the red zone ended with successful field goals.

College Football Pick: The first score in the Missouri-Arkansas game to be a touchdown – NO +170

Let’s Vote No To an Early Score in Kentucky-Louisville

Only four times this season has a team scored on the opening possession in a game involving the Kentucky Wildcats. Two of those came against national title contenders Georgia and Alabama.

Louisville is allowing 1.9 points per game in the first quarter. The 10-1 Cardinals haven’t trailed after the opening quarter so far, but there hasn’t always been a lot of early offense in their games.

College Football Pick: The first points in the Louisville-Kentucky game to come in the first six minutes – NO +108

Bayou Tigers Look To Roar Again

It will be strength against strength as Texas A&M puts its defense, which has allowed the fewest yards in the SEC, against the top offense in the country.

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels has been on an absolute tear in the last couple of weeks as he has thrown for nine touchdowns and run for four others. He continues to be a front-runner for the Heisman Trophy according to our sportsbook.

Even though the Aggies are eighth nationally in total defense, this could be an entirely different set of challenges awaiting the Aggies defense.

College Football Pick: A team in the Texas A&M-LSU game will score at least 40 points – YES -134

Go with the Over as Tennessee Schools Meet

The bad news is that Tennessee has scored a total of 17 points in the last two games with both touchdowns coming in the first half. The good news is that after playing back-to-back games against ranked Georgia and Missouri teams, the Volunteers will meet a Vanderbilt team that has yet to win in SEC play and is tied with Florida for the most points allowed in conference play.

Tennessee coach Josh Heupel is not exactly known to ease up with huge leads and that could result in a high-scoring affair.

Vanderbilt has allowed the most passing yards, rushing yards and yards per play among SEC teams this season and the Commodores figure to have their hands full with Tennessee.

College Football Pick: Tennessee-Vanderbilt game to go over 56½ points
