There has been good money for the Gamecocks to continue their winning streak approaching bowl – or playoff – season.

They have won their last five games against the likes of Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt, so they have been beating solid teams. The 28-7 victory over Vanderbilt was an excellent display of quality college football, and money is coming for them to take down another good team.

2. Tigers Hanging Tough

It hasn’t been a vintage year for the Tigers, but they have bounced back from a loss to Louisville with three consecutive wins over Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh and The Citadel.

They improved to 9-2, which is a solid record, and although they’re not as strong as they used to be, they are being respected with online betting odds at -2 against the red-hot Gamecocks.

We have been mightily impressed with quarterback Cade Klubnik, who has put himself in contention for end-of-year awards. He owns 29 touchdowns and only four interceptions, and he’s often the difference for the Tigers.

Following a win over Virginia Tech, though, coach Dabo Swinney wasn’t pleased.

“Just stuff that we needed him to do as a quarterback and decisions,’’ Swinney said. “He took four sacks, every sack was on him, and none of them should have happened. He just tried to do a little too much a couple times, just frustrating, (and) there were a couple of plays there that we didn’t pull the trigger on.”

Despite his harsh words, Klubnik is a top-quality player and he is why Clemson is being respected in the market. However, one player doesn’t make a team, and Clemson needs to be much better to hold off the Gamecocks.
