Betting on favorites late in the season doesn’t usually pay off a lot, with some big lines being put up on BetUS Sportsbook. But we’re undeterred, feeling we can find some favorites that you can put into a parlay to have a nice payout.
We’re not looking for the double-digit favorites on the point spread, and we’re picking on the moneyline, but put our picks together, and you could have a very nice Saturday of NCAAF picks and parlays.

3 Legs to Bet for Week 12 NCAAF Parlay
1. BYU Continues to Roll Through Big 12 Competition
It’s amazing that the BYU Cougars can be undefeated and No. 6 in the College Football Playoff rankings, yet only be -140 on the moneyline vs the Kansas Jayhawks at home this week. Kansas has been a big disappointment this season, though the Jayhawks did upset Iowa State last week.
Still, we have a hard time seeing the Cougars losing this one, despite a close call vs Utah last week. The one-point BYU victory drew the ire of Utah athletic director Mark Harlan, who told a postgame news conference that “this game was absolutely stolen from us.” Harlan was upset by a penalty called when it looked like the Utes had stopped BYU’s last-minute drive for the winning points.
Instead, BYU’s perfect season remained intact on Will Ferrin’s 44-yard field goal.

Quarterback Jake Retzlaff has been the leader of the Cougars’ offensive attack all season, and he came up big with two fourth-quarter scoring drives against the Utes. Retzlaff has thrown for 2,091 yards and 18 touchdowns while rushing for 291 yards and four more scores.
Kansas has a versatile quarterback as well in junior Jalon Daniels, who had a big game as the Jayhawks made college football news with the upset of the Cyclones. Daniels scored a rushing touchdown for the fourth straight game while also passing for 295 yards and two scores. His biggest key against the Cougars will be to avoid the bad plays, specifically interceptions, which he has nine of this season.
Kansas may put up a good fight, but we like BYU to come out on top when all is said and done on Saturday in our NCAAF predictions.
2. LSU Wins Battle of Struggling SEC Squads
Two games ago, the LSU Tigers were unbeaten in SEC play and hoping for a run to the conference championship game and the College Football Playoff. Two losses later, and the Tigers are needing to rebound to improve their standing for other bowl games.
A bowl game is where the Florida Gators want to be as well, but they’ve suffered losses in three of their last four contests, leaving them at 4-5 on the season. Both of these teams need a win badly, so Saturday’s matchup in Gainesville, Fla., should be a battle.
The Tigers were manhandled at home by Alabama last week, 42-13, with LSU’s only touchdown coming in the final 11 seconds of the contest. Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier was picked off twice, putting his season interception total at 11.
Per LSU vs Florida stats, Nussmeier has some solid numbers, ranking seventh in the nation with 2,866 passing yards and tying for 12th in the country with 21 passing touchdowns. But he must be more careful with the ball if the Tigers are going to get some wins.
Florida’s offense has been inconsistent, which isn’t surprising considering the rotating door at quarterback. Freshman Aidan Warner got the start against Texas last week, the third starter for the Gators this season, and threw for just 132 yards while getting intercepted twice.
The Gators won’t have enough offensively to stay with the Tigers in this one, so we’re adding LSU to our college football picks for a favorites parlay.
3. Louisiana Stays Perfect In Sun Belt With Win
One of the better mid-major teams in the country this season has been the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, who come into their matchup on Saturday with the South Alabama Jaguars on a six-game winning streak. Louisiana is unbeaten in Sun Belt Conference play and has suffered just one loss on the season.
According to South Alabama vs Louisiana betting trends, the series has been one-sided in recent years with the Ragin’ Cajuns winning seven of the last eight meetings. However, the lone win by the Jaguars was in Louisiana in 2022.
Senior quarterback Ben Wooldridge has led the charge for the Ragin’ Cajuns, throwing for 2,301 yards and 17 touchdowns against just four interceptions. He’s completing 68% of his passes for a Louisiana team that is averaging 35.4 points.
South Alabama comes into this game off a tight loss to Georgia Southern two weeks ago, dropping the Jaguars to 4-5 overall. SAU is among three teams tied for second in the Sun Belt’s West Division with 3-2 marks, all trailing the 5-0 Ragin’ Cajuns.
The Jaguars have some offensive firepower as well, averaging 36.2 points. Freshman quarterback Gio Lopez has thrown for 1,891 yards and 14 touchdowns while only being picked off twice.
This game is going to be an exciting, high-scoring affair, and South Alabama could keep it close. But we’re going with Louisiana playing at home on the moneyline as the third of our legs to the favorites parlay. Do some online sports betting on these picks and make yourself a winner on Saturday.
