Jayhawks Seek First 6-0 Start Since 2007
No. 19 Kansas tries to stay unbeaten when it hosts No. 17 TCU, which is also undefeated, in a key Big 12 showdown on Saturday afternoon. TCU (4-0, 1-0 Big 12) is coming off an upset win over Oklahoma last weekend and is tied with Oklahoma State for third place in the Big 12 standings.
Kansas (5-0, 2-0) has been perfect through five games and is tied with Kansas State for the top spot in the conference standings. This should be a back-and-forth contest, so to help with your betting online, read our in-depth preview of this key game.

TCU Offense Nearly Unstoppable
The start of the 2022 season for the TCU offense has been as good as it could be, with the Horned Frogs averaging a Big 12-best 48.5 points over their first four games. TCU is the only conference team ranked in the top three in both rushing and passing yards per game.
Leading the attack has been senior quarterback Max Duggan, who has accounted for 13 touchdowns (11 passing, two rushing). Duggan has passed for just 997 yards after coming off the bench in the season opener, but he is tied for the conference lead with his passing touchdowns and has the highest quarterback efficiency rating (202.2) in the Big 12.
Junior running back Kendre Miller leads TCU with 386 rushing yards, scoring five touchdowns on the ground. He’s gone over 135 yards in each of the last two games, scoring twice in the win over Oklahoma.
Wide receiver Taye Barber had a big game against Oklahoma and is a deep threat that can take it all the way at any point. Barber had three catches for 107 yards against the Sooners, including a 73-yard touchdown reception.
Kansas Tries to Keep Storybook Season Going
Kansas continues to be one of the feel-good stories of the 2022 college football season, starting 2-0 in conference play for just the second time in the last 14 years after last weekend’s win over Iowa State. The Jayhawks have been at the bottom of the Big 12 most years, but they’re trying to change that this season.
“This feels different because of what this group has been through,” Kansas coach Lance Leipold said after the win over Iowa State. “We’ve only been here 16 months and focusing on how we can improve, but I’m so happy for them because we can see what it does in the community, the stands, togetherness and these are great things to build upon.“
For that winning streak to continue against the Horned Frogs, the Kansas defense needs to step up like it did against the Cyclones, holding them to 11 points and just 26 rushing yards.
Offensively, Kansas will need junior quarterback Jalon Daniels to have a big game. Daniels has passed for 983 yards and 11 touchdowns while also rushing for 329 yards and five scores. If he’s on his game again, the Jayhawks can hang with the high-powered Horned Frogs.

TCU vs Kansas Prediction
The TCU Horned Frogs have been playing very well this season, but so have the Kansas Jayhawks. We like TCU to come away with the victory in this one, but Kansas is going to keep it close to the end.
When making your college football picks, take Kansas to at least cover the spread at home.
