Both Texas A&M and Southern California were hoping to be playing in bowl games with more on the line than the Las Vegas Bowl. However, the Trojans finished tied for ninth in their first season in the Big Ten while Texas A&M dropped its last three SEC games.

USC has won all three meetings against Texas A&M. However, the teams haven’t played since 1977. The Trojans are 36-21 in bowl games compared to a 20-23 mark for the Aggies.
