The two teams look to build off what could be season-defining victories or just footnotes in the span of a long conference season.

Kansas St. is the top rushing team in the Big 12, while Texas Tech is the top passing team in the conference. It will be a showdown of contrasting styles of play.

Kansas St. (+375) is just behind Baylor and Oklahoma in the odds to win the Big 12 title. Texas Tech (+1600) is tied at seventh, according to the sportsbook.

The Red Raiders are priced at +35000, and the Wildcats are at +50000 in the odds to win the national championship, as per the college football lines.

Kansas St. moved into the Associated Press poll at No. 25 after the win over Oklahoma. Tech finished with six more points than Kansas St. in the American Football Coaches Association poll, though neither cracked the top 25.

Former Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez has made an immediate impact. He is fourth among FBS quarterbacks with 298 yards on the ground. He hasn’t been asked to carry the offense as a passer, though is coming off a season-high 234 passing yards (four TD runs) in that win against Oklahoma.


Austin Moore and Felix Anudike-Uzomah have combined for 9½ ‘loss’ tackles and four sacks to lead the defense. Seven interceptions have also been key to the Wildcats stifling opponents.

Texas Tech receiver Jordan Brown and Coy Eakin (ankle), linebackers Derrick Lewis, Bryce Robinson (leg) and L.B. Moore, tight end Henry Teeter and running back Cam’Ron Valdez (knee) are questionable.
