UCLA Dominates NCAAF Lines Against Pac-12 Rival Arizona State

The UCLA Bruins are favored by 18½ points against the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday.

It’s a one-sided sport betting market, which isn’t surprising, and we expect most college football picks to have UCLA on their ticket.

The Pac-12 Conference game has much more importance for UCLA, which is 3-3.

Sun Devils Eye Upset

Working out which Sun Devils team will show up can be difficult, but the signs weren’t good last week.

They suffered a humiliating 55-3 loss to the Utah Utes, so not only didn’t they win, but they didn’t cover the College Football betting spread.

It was a stark contrast from the win against Washington State, but the offensive numbers have been … offensive.

They scored three points last week and seven in a 15-7 loss to Washington. Therefore, keeping up with the Bruins could prove too difficult, unless their defense stands up.

Getting +18½ points when betting online is a sizable head start, but we question the mental attitude of the visitors.

Bruins Needing Rebound Win

Losing to the Sun Devils would put an end to the Bruins chances of securing a decent bowl game, so there is a lot on the line.

They need to play much better than what they showed last week when losing 27-10 to Arizona. The Wildcats proved too good, but returning to the Rose Bowl could be enough to see the Bruins best form return.

UCLA Coach Chip Kelly had a unique mindset entering the game against Colorado.

“I had to remind our kids that this was Halloween, not Christmas. We need to stop giving away gifts. And let’s just make sure that it’s Halloween, so let’s put your scary masks on and go play,” the former NFL coach said.

The 6-3 team won 28-16 against Colorado at home, and quarterback Dante Moore has much more potential than Arizona State’s Trenton Bourguet.

Moore has 10 touchdowns compared to one for Bourguet, and the offense could make all the difference, especially when covering college football lines.

Arizona State vs UCLA Head-to-Head

UCLA has a 22-15-1 advantage over Arizona State, including a 50-36 victory last year. The Bruins have won three of the last four, but if the -18½ line applied, they wouldn’t have covered in any of those wins.

Arizona State vs UCLA Game Weather Conditions

Ideal conditions are expected at game time.

Arizona State vs UCLA Game Prediction

Predicted Score: UCLA 37, Arizona State 13

  • Worth Betting the Moneyline?

UCLA is -1000 to win outright, so there isn’t much value in taking the Bruins moneyline.

However, if you need a relatively secure bet to include in college football parlays, include the -1000.

  • Worth Betting ATS?

It’s a big line to cover, but the Bruins are the team to back.

Arizona State couldn’t have been any worse last week, and we don’t see its best form returning on the road in a hostile environment.

This is a much more important game for the Bruins, and they should come out humming.

College Football Pick: UCLA -18½

  • Worth Betting on the Totals?

We predict around 50 points being scored, so we’re including over 44 in our selections.

The Sun Devils’ defense didn’t do enough last week to give us much confidence, and it should allow the Bruins to pile on the points.

With ideal conditions, it should be a high scoring contest.
