Let’s check the latest college football odds, stats, injury reports, and college football lines for Utah State vs Boise State. We’ve plenty of NCAA football odds for you to consider.
Utah State Coming Off Wild Win
The Utah State Aggies have won three straight, but none of them was more difficult than last weekend’s win over San Jose State, as the Aggies went from a 15-point second-quarter lead to needing a touchdown in the final minutes to come from behind for a 35-31 victory. The up-and-down nature of the game made it a wild one, but the Aggies are hoping for a little more consistency this week.
Senior running back Calvin Tyler Jr. had 125 yards and three touchdowns in the win, including the game-winner with under three minutes to go. Tyler has rushed for 978 yards and six touchdowns this season while also making 13 receptions for 128 yards and a score.
Quarterback Cooper Legas had his second straight 200-yard passing game, finishing with 244 yards and a touchdown, though he also threw two interceptions and took two sacks. The junior missed some time earlier in the season after a head injury but the Aggies haven’t lost since he returned to the starting role. Legas has thrown for 1,159 yards and 10 touchdowns while also rushing for 227 yards and two scores.
Senior wide receiver Brian Cobbs had a big game against San Jose State, making 10 catches for 122 yards. Cobbs has 63 grabs for 769 yards and four touchdowns in 2022.
Boise State Defense Back On Track
The Boise State Broncos have won six of their last seven games, holding their opponent to 20 points or less in each of those victories. Boise State ranks 12th in the nation in scoring defense, allowing just 17.3 points per game, and it was helped by a pair of interceptions by safety JL Skinner in the final minutes against Wyoming last weekend.
“We fight and we’re resilient,” Skinner said after Saturday’s win. “We don’t let anything bother us and we’re a very tight knit family right now, and we know that’s us against everybody and that’s how we’re going to approach each game.”
Offensively, the Broncos got 132 rushing yards from junior running back George Holani, who is just 23 yards from the 1,000-yard plateau this season. Holani has rushed for at least 100 yards in five of his last six games.
Freshman quarterback Taylen Green passed for 211 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s victory. Green has thrown for 1,511 yards and eight touchdowns and also has 341 yards and seven scores on the ground.
