Pac-12 Unbeatens Clash in Showdown
Bruins Try to Stay Perfect
The No. 18 UCLA Bruins face their toughest test of the season when they host the No. 11 Utah Utes on Saturday afternoon in a battle of Pac-12 teams that are unbeaten in conference play. UCLA (5-0, 2-0 Pac-12) is coming off an upset of Washington at home and is tied with Oregon and the Utes for second place in the Pac-12 standings, a half-game behind USC.
Utah (4-1, 2-0) has won four straight after an opening loss to Florida, dominating all four opponents. These teams have a lot at stake, so make sure to make an informed bet online on this contest by reading our in-depth preview of the game first.
Let’s check the latest NCAAF odds, stats, injury reports, and NCAAF lines for Utah vs Bruins. We’ve plenty of NCAAF Vegas odds for you to consider.
Utah Defense Dominant
Utah has gone on a four-game winning streak since an opening loss at Florida, and a big part of that has been the team’s defense. Over the past four games, opponents are averaging just 11.0 points per game. The Utes lead the Pac-12 in both scoring defense (14.4 points per game) and pass defense (155.4 yards per game).
The offense has been solid as well, led by junior quarterback Cameron Rising, who is coming off a three-touchdown performance in a win over Oregon State. Rising is completing 68.3% of his passes for 1,153 yards and 13 touchdowns while also rushing for 189 yards and a score.
While wide receiver Devaughn Vele leads the Utes with 21 catches for 269 yards and three scores, Utah likes to feature its tight ends in the passing game. Dalton Kincaid and Brant Kuithe each have 19 receptions, with Kincaid racking up 257 yards and five touchdowns and Kuithe adding 206 yards and three scores.
Junior Tavion Thomas has been the most efficient running back for the Utes, though he hasn’t been on the field all the time. Thomas, who has 295 yards and four touchdowns, missed the first half of a win over Arizona State on Sept. 24 for non-injury reasons and ran just six times for 13 yards in last week’s win over Oregon State.

UCLA Seeks Statement Win
UCLA has been winning, but it hasn’t been gaining a lot of notice until upsetting Washington last weekend. The Bruins would like to make it two straight victories over a ranked opponent to wake up the national media and their fans.
“People were saying all week that we’re the worst 4-0 team out there and writing us off. I think my boys came here with a chip on their shoulder,” UCLA quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson said of the disrespect the team felt it was getting before its Sept. 30 win over Washington. “I think I told y’all (before the game), see if Washington can run with us, not the other way around.”
Thompson-Robinson has been hard to stay with for UCLA opponents, with the fifth-year senior throwing for 1,211 yards and 11 touchdowns through five games. He’s also run the ball 31 times for 223 yards and three scores.
UCLA has the top rushing defense in the Pac-12, holding opponents to just 80.4 yards per game. But can the Bruins keep Rising and the Utah passing attack in check?
Utah vs Bruins Head-To-Head
UCLA has the all-time lead in its series with Utah 11-8, but that gap has shrunk in recent years, with the Utes on a five-game winning streak against the Bruins. Most of UCLA’s wins came during an eight-game winning streak that spanned from 1933 to 2006.
The Utes have been able to light up the scoreboard against the Bruins over their five-game winning streak, averaging 46.8 points. A look at the college football lines for Saturday’s showdown shows Utah is getting the slight edge despite playing on the road.

Utah vs Bruins Prediction
The UCLA Bruins have been playing well, but the Utah Utes have been great on both sides of the ball and are going to make it tough for the hosts on Saturday. UCLA should get some points, but not enough to come away with another win.
