Huskies, Bruins battle in Pasadena
Now or Never with Washington
The Washington Huskies have been in this position before, and not risen to the challenge. Now is their next best chance to do it again.
It comes against the 4-0 UCLA Bruins who, despite small crowds, have managed to create some interest.
The sportsbook has UCLA at +3 (or +140) against the Huskies, so it’s expected to test the 15th-ranked team in the nation.
Let’s check the latest NCAAF odds, stats, injury reports, and NCAAF lines for Washington vs UCLA. We’ve plenty of Vegas NCAAF odds for you to consider.
Huskies Have Promise
Being a ranked team comes with plenty of pressure, and the Washington Huskies know all about that.
There were many occasions where Washington had a solid start to the season but failed to deliver. Now, after starting 4-0 with wins over Kent State, Portland State, Michigan State, and Stanford, it’s another chance.
Beating the Spartans, 39-28, holds them in good stead against a team such as UCLA, which doesn’t play a tough brand of football. Despite UCLA compiling the numbers, it hasn’t played a team the caliber of Washington.
NCAAF betting markets have the Huskies a field-goal favorite after a dominant 40-22 win over Stanford. Playing on the road for the first time is a worry here, but they could be ready.
“It was only a matter of time,” sophomore edge Bralen Trice said. “Besides Michigan State, everybody’s like, ‘Oh, it’s just Kent State. It’s just Portland State. Just wait till conference play.’ But we’re showing y’all now. We’re ready for the rest of the conference.”
It is time to start believing in the Huskies, and beating the Bruins in Pac-12 play could see them move into the top 10.
Bruins’ Biggest Test
There were memes posted about the lack of fans at the UCLA Bruins games. However, if it keeps winning, the crowds should find their way to Pasadena.
The Bruins are 4-0 after beating Colorado, 45-17, in Boulder. Colorado’s terrible this season, but still a confidence-boosting win by the visitors.
UCLA is averaging 41.8 PPG, just below Washington, so perhaps the Bruins can outscore Washington if this becomes a back-and-forth affair.
Legitimate concerns about their strength of the opposition, but they can only beat teams put in front of them. Washington provides their first real test this season, but betting online markets suggest they’re not overmatched.
Battle of the quarterbacks favors Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. (12 touchdowns, one interception), but UCLA’s Dorian Thompson-Robinson has been handy (eight TDs, one pick).
There isn’t much difference at the running-back position, so a close game should be expected.
Washington vs UCLA Head-to-Head

The Bruins are 25-11-1 at home against the Huskies.
