The calendar is turning to November, so teams need to make their cases for the College Football Playoff as well as just getting to six wins to become bowl-eligible. That means underdogs are going to have extra motivation to take down the competition.
We’ve taken a look at the Week 10 schedule and put together a trio of underdogs that we believe will pull out straight-up victories. Take a read of our college football picks and decide if you want to put together a winning underdog parlay.
3 Legs to Bet for Week 10 Underdog Parlay
1. Syracuse Defends Its Home Turf vs Virginia Tech
The Syracuse Orange have quietly been having a very solid season, coming into their game with the Virginia Tech Hokies with a 5-2 mark, including a 2-1 record against teams that were ranked in the Top 25. Now Syracuse gets another test against the hot Hokies, who have won three in a row.
The Orange had won three straight prior to facing undefeated Pittsburgh last week, falling 41-13 on the road. But Syracuse is at home for this contest and will be looking for a bounceback from that loss and a win to make itself bowl-eligible.
Quarterback Kyle McCord, who transferred to Syracuse from Ohio State, leads the Orange’s offensive attack. McCord has thrown for 2,481 yards – good for seventh in the nation – and 19 touchdowns.
SU QB Kyle McCord says he spent Saturday night at Fran Brown’s house getting on the same page – “anytime your head coach has your back like that, it means a lot.”

McCord had a horrible game against Pittsburgh, completing 35-of-64 passes for no touchdowns while throwing five interceptions and getting sacked four times. He’s definitely ready to rebound from that game, as is all of the Syracuse offense.
Virginia Tech is 2-2 on the road this season. The Hokies’ defense has played strong recently, holding Georgia Tech to six points last week and Stanford to seven points three games ago.
But Syracuse has a much better offense than those teams and it will break out for an upset win over the Hokies on Saturday. Include the Orange among your upset college football bets in a parlay.

2. Former Pac-12 Rivals Face Off In Big Ten Play
The USC Trojans and Washington Huskies are no strangers to each other, even though both are playing in a new conference this season. Considering the longtime Pac-12 members moved into the Big Ten at the same time, this week’s game is just the continuation of a long-held rivalry.
USC is the favorite even though it’s playing on the road. For USC vs Washington betting trends, the Trojans have struggled as a visiting team in 2024, going 0-3 in true road games. Now USC faces a Washington team that is a perfect 4-0 at home. The Huskies are coming off a pair of difficult road losses and will be more than happy to be the home team this weekend.
The play of quarterback Will Rogers is key for the Huskies’ chances against the Trojans. The senior has thrown for 2,022 yards and 13 touchdowns, but he struggled last weekend against undefeated Indiana, throwing two touchdowns and getting sacked three times. It was his third straight game of getting sacked at least three times.
USC is 13th in the Big Ten in sacks with 13 and gives up the fifth-most passing yards per game in the conference at 234.2. Rogers and the Huskies will likely go to the air quite a bit in this one.
The Trojans just aren’t the same team on the road, and we’re going to see that difference this weekend. Bet online for the Huskies to come out on top at home against a longtime rival.

3. Undefeated Pittsburgh Stays Perfect vs Host SMU
A battle of ranked teams in the ACC sees the No. 18 Pittsburgh Panthers playing as an underdog on the road against the No. 20 SMU Mustangs. Not just an underdog, but a seven-point underdog. Not a lot of respect for a team that is 7-0 this season.
Not that SMU is a pushover. The Mustangs are 7-1, with the only loss coming at home to the undefeated BYU Cougars.
Both of these teams are potent offensively, but it’s Pittsburgh’s defense that will make the difference in this one. The Panthers are coming off a win over Syracuse in which they picked off Orange quarterback Kyle McCord five times. It was the third time in four games that Pittsburgh has held its opponent under 20 points.

Not that the defense does all the work, as quarterback Eli Holstein and the offense do their share. Holstein comes into this one with 1,805 yards and 17 touchdowns through the air this season while also rushing for 286 yards and three scores.
We like the balance of the Pittsburgh squad to power the Panthers to the win, putting them in a top position in the ACC. Both of these teams are unbeaten and tied with Miami at 4-0 in league play, with only Clemson ahead of them in the standings at 5-0.
Add Pittsburgh to your underdogs parlay when you’re doing your NCAA football predictions and you’ll come out a winner this weekend.
