Week 11 Top Upset Specials: Will Georgia and Florida State Avoid Upsets

Eight ranked teams lost in Week 10 with the biggest news being made with Clemson taking down Notre Dame and Oklahoma falling in quite possibly the final matchup with rival Oklahoma State. LSU and Missouri had chances to create chaos in the SEC only to come up short against Alabama and Georgia. There are some tasty options in Week 11 when it comes to the college football upset picks.

There are four matchups between ranked teams in Week 11 with the Ole Miss-Georgia matchup showing up in this week’s list of possible upsets.

There are seven Football Bowl Subdivision teams still holding perfect records and five come from Power-5 conferences. Keep that in mind when making NCAA football picks this week.

Three of our five upset specials came through in Week 10 with Georgia Tech, North Carolina State, and Oklahoma State all winning outright. Vanderbilt nearly made it four out of five but couldn’t cover against Auburn as a 12½-point underdog.

Michigan (+230) leads Georgia (+250) in the odds of winning the national title with Florida State (+600), Ohio State (+700), and Alabama (+800) not far behind. Michigan, Georgia, and FSU have potentially challenging matchups this weekend.

We have highlighted five games in Week 11 where it would be wise to keep tabs on the underdog as part of the NCAAF free picks and parlays to consider.

Here’s a look at some NCAA football odds that those who bet online might want to consider.

Arizona at Colorado (+300)

  • Saturday, Nov. 11, 2 p.m. ET (Pac-12 Network)

Colorado remains in the news as long as there is a microphone or tape recorder for head coach Deion Sanders to talk into. It is time for the Buffaloes to make some headlines for their play on the field.

This feels like a game when Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, and the other star players for the Buffaloes picking up a big win against a ranked Arizona team.

Miami (14½) at Florida State

  • Saturday, Nov. 11, 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC)

Is there a more predictable team in college football than the Miami Hurricanes?

Miami owns wins over Texas A&M and Clemson but has some head-scratching losses as well.

Now comes the huge matchup with undefeated Florida State. Miami would love nothing better than to end FSU’s national championship hopes.

Florida State hasn’t been a double-digit favorite since 2013 against Miami. Dating back to the 1999 season, FSU is 1-3 against the spread when favored by at least 10 points against the rival Hurricanes.

This game is almost an afterthought and the blame falls squarely on Miami for that. This is a chance for the Hurricanes to make some noise once again.

Florida State has covered in three of the four games as a favorite at home while Miami failed to cover against the college football spreads in its lone game this season as a road underdog. This is basically the season for the Hurricanes.

Ole Miss (+11) at Georgia

  • Saturday, Nov. 11, 7 p.m. ET (ESPN)

We’re not ready to go with the two-time defending national champion Georgia’s 36-game winning streak in the regular season to come to an end. However, Ole Miss listed by our sportsbook as an 11-point underdog is sure to attract some attention this week.

The Rebels will look to hang around behind the play of running back Quinshon Judkins and quarterback Jaxson Dart.

Georgia keeps on winning but the Bulldogs have struggled to cover this season and that could happen this weekend as well as Georgia looks to secure a spot in the SEC title game.

Duke Blue (+14½) at North Carolina

  • Saturday, Nov. 11, 8 p.m. ET (ACC Network)

After dropping back-to-back games against ranked Florida State and Louisville teams, Duke got back to its winning ways with a 24-21 win over Wake Forest.

Now comes a rivalry clash with North Carolina and star quarterback Drake Maye.

Duke has allowed a total of two touchdown passes in the last six games. Look for Duke to go enough to hang around against UNC.

Southern California (+15) at Oregon

  • Saturday, Nov. 11, 10:30 p.m. ET (FOX)

Yes, the USC defense is an absolute mess but seeing the Trojans listed as a 15-point underdog to anybody seems hard to believe.

Oregon and USC are both still in play for a spot in the Pac-12 title game and as long as reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams is slinging it as the USC quarterback, the Trojans have a puncher’s chance.

It is hard to believe that Southern California hasn’t played at Oregon since 2015 and hasn’t won in Oregon since 2011.

We aren’t predicting a USC win, but a game a little closer than 15 points.
