We don’t like to toot our own horn (okay, we do), but we were 3-for-3 on picks against the spread (ATS) last week. We’re hoping you took our advice and made some of those bets for some nice wins.

But we’re not going to rest on our laurels with another week of college football action already starting. So check out our Week 13 ATS picks and hopefully we’ll be just as successful and you’ll have another good college football betting weekend.
3 College Football ATS Picks in Week 13
1. Bet Pittsburgh to Keep It Close vs Louisville
Even though they lost last weekend, the Pittsburgh Panthers may have garnered as much respect as if they had won against Clemson. Playing without freshman sensation Eli Holstein at quarterback, Pitt gave the 20th-ranked Tigers all they could handle in a 24-20 loss.
Junior Nate Yarnell started in his place and had 350 yards and a touchdown through the air. This despite taking eight sacks against the ferocious Clemson defense.
The Panthers are on a three-game losing streak and are eight-point underdogs against the host Louisville Cardinals this weekend. There’s a question of whether or not Holstein will be cleared to return this week, but coach Pat Narduzzi is confident no matter which player is taking the snaps.
“We’ll find out when Eli is cleared,” Narduzzi said. “He hasn’t been cleared yet. So there’s no question, as we talked all August, we’ve got two really good quarterbacks and both of them have an opportunity — Nate did a heck of a job out there, like I thought and knew he would.”
Louisville has been up and down all season and is coming off a 38-35 loss at Stanford last weekend, only the Cardinal’s third win of 2024. Per Pittsburgh vs Louisville stats, the Cardinals actually have a worse overall record than the Panthers (6-4 to 7-3), so it’s hard to know which team is going to show up for this one.
We like Pittsburgh, no matter who is throwing the passes, to keep this one at least close like it did against Clemson last week. Make the Panthers one of your college football picks ATS this week.

2. Minnesota Makes Things Hard for Penn State
With Oregon and Ohio State the Nos. 1 and 2 teams in the country and Indiana making major college football news with its 10-0 start, it’s easy to forget about the Penn State Nittany Lions. Despite a top-five ranking and just one loss on the season, the Nittany Lions are still looked at as a tier below those teams, even though Penn State has a chance to advance to the Big Ten Championship Game and the College Football Playoff.
But James Franklin’s team hasn’t been dominant in its wins each week, beating USC by just three and keeping other teams close. Penn State has dominated in its last two wins – beating Washington by 29 and Purdue by 39 – but those teams have a combined four conference victories.
A big test and chance for the Nittany Lions to prove themselves comes this week with a visit to face the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Minnesota is 6-4 overall and 4-3 in conference play, but is coming off a loss at Rutgers.
Still, coach P.J. Fleck’s team isn’t going to make it easy on Penn State. Quarterback Max Brosmer has passed for 2,251 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, but most importantly, he has just four interceptions. He’s been interception-free for the past five games, with Minnesota going 4-1 over that span.

We’re not taking Minnesota to win with one of our college football predictions, but we like the Golden Gophers to keep this game within 10 points at the end.

3. Bay Area Rivalry Renewed By Bears, Cardinal
It seems a little strange to talk about the game between the California Golden Bears and the Stanford Cardinal this week as an ACC contest, but that’s the new reality of college football. Still, the Cal-Stanford rivalry is one of the most storied in college football, including one of the craziest plays in the sport’s history, known simply as “The Play.”
This rivalry, between schools just 41 miles apart, has been known for its close games. Per Stanford vs Cal betting trends, only one of the last seven matchups was decided by 14 points or more. That’s why the 14-point spread that the Golden Bears are favored by this weekend seems so strange.
Neither team has been very good this season, with Stanford coming in with a 3-7 overall record and California currently 5-5. The Golden Bears have more to play for, with one more win making them bowl-eligible, but that is only going to feed the Cardinal’s motivation to be able to beat Cal and possibly keep it out of a bowl.
Stanford is coming off an upset win over Louisville last weekend behind quarterback Ashton Daniels’ 298 yards and three touchdowns passing. Freshman wide receiver Emmett Mosley V had the game of his collegiate career with 13 receptions for 168 yards and three touchdowns.
If Daniels and Mosley can keep that connection going, the Cardinal have a chance at the outright upset. But even if Stanford doesn’t get the win, it’s going to keep this one close. This rivalry isn’t one for blowouts, so we like the Cardinal to keep it within two touchdowns.
Put your bet online on Stanford getting the points and you’ll be happy at the end of Saturday.
