Weekly NCAAF Teaser: Crush the Books With Alabma and SMU on Saturday
We are back this week with the best college football bets on Saturday, December 2, 2023, where the entire slate consists of conference championships. After reviewing the NCAA football odds we’ve found two live underdogs that will look livelier with the six additional points in our Best Bet Teaser this week!
1st Teaser Leg: SMU (+4 to +10) vs Tulane
The line dipped a bit in the early going but Tulane is back to being installed as a 4-point favorite according to the latest NCAA football odds. This still gives us enough value on SMU to include the Mustangs as one leg of our Best Bet Teaser this week.

The additional six points will have us cruise past such critical numbers as 4, 6, and 7 before we land on SMU +10.
It should be noted that the Mustangs have defeated their Sun Belt rivals from Tulane in seven of their last eight contests and are hot off the heels of a 59-14 win over Navy last week.
Although the Green Wave has a solid defense, ranked 18th in the nation surrendering 18.3 points per game, their hallmark is stopping the run (ranked 5th) but they don’t stop the pass well as evidenced by their 91st pass defense, allowing over 223 yards per game.
Here is the big caveat, starting quarterback Preston Stone has been ruled out of this game due to a broken leg he suffered in the regular-season finale against Navy. The Mustangs are averaging over 292 passing yards per game (16th) and will now be led by a talented, redshirt freshman, Kevin Jennings, who is 35-of-46 for 429 passing yards with four touchdowns and no picks in limited playing time.
This looks like a mild upset in the making but when we add six points to the already generous four points we are getting from the best online sports betting sites then the Mustangs are a no-brainer as a valuable part of our Best Bet Teaser this weekend.

2nd Teaser Leg: Georgia vs Alabama (+6 to +12)
This is Saturday’s marquee matchup and it could be Alabama’s ticket to the CFP if the Tide pull the upset over their powerhouse SEC foes from Georgia. I believe the Bulldogs will occupy one of the four CFP positions regardless of what happens in this game but it will be a definite ticket out of town for Bama should it lose.
Many of the pundits revealing their predictions for NCAA football games this weekend have had a slight to heavy lean on Georgia. And why not? The Dawgs are undefeated, ranked No. 1 in the nation, and have the following statistical rankings entering this SEC Championship game against Alabama:
- No. 6 on defense allowing 15.8 points per game
- No. 7 on offense scoring 39.6 points per game
- No. 8 in passing with 310.8 yards per game
- No. 31 in rushing with 185.6 yards per game

Those are impressive stats but we should be aware that Alabama has defeated Georgia in 7 of their last 8 meetings. Although these teams haven’t met this season, the Crimson Tide have won 10 straight games and are 18th in the nation in scoring, averaging 35.6 points per game, and tied for 14th in points against, allowing 17.9 points per contest.
These numbers are not far removed from Georgia’s and we should also note that sophomore quarterback Jalen Milroe has grown by leaps and bounds since he struggled against Texas in the team’s only loss in early September. Unlike Georgia’s Carson Beck, Milroe is a dual threat as he has 21 passing and 12 passing touchdowns.
