It’s about to get crazy this weekend. Twisters opens in theaters and one action hero is already reportedly “bugging out” seeing it: Tom Cruise. The Mission Impossible star watched the premiere last week and had a blast. This sequel to the 1996 hit, Twister is just one of many blockbusters set to release for the remainder of 2024. And best of all, you can scour our entertainment odds and bet on several of these films!
Upcoming Blockbusters You Can Bet On at BetUS
Cruise is usually the king of action blockbuster films. However, Mission Impossible 8 won’t be released until May next year. For now, you can bet on who Tom Cruise’s next girlfriend will be (hint: a Colombian superstar leads the board). But even a year without a Cruise barnburner can produce prolific box office results.
We just saw Inside Out 2 kill it with an opening weekend of $154.2 million. It is heavily favored to keep this record until the end of the year. But in two weeks, this long-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe flick could just pull off an upset:
1. Deadpool & Wolverine, July 26
This movie would easily topped the box office had it not been rated R. However, it is still expected to be one of the biggest films. And it may give Inside Out 2 a run for its money. Deadpool 2 grossed $125.5 million in 2018 while the original Deadpool broke box office records with a $132.4 million opening in 2016.
In fact, some estimations have Deadpool & Wolverine grossing over $160 million. And that further reaffirms Deadpool’s “Marvel Jesus” line in the film.
“I feel like we’ve been really lucky with timing,” Ryan Reynolds, who plays the titular character, said. “On Deadpool 1, we were a great beneficiary of the cultural landscape changing quite rapidly, and we were very lucky to be in the right place at the right time.”
Checking the entertainment betting odds, Deadpool & Wolverine is lined at -140 to make over $139 million. This could be a shrewd bet given the popularity of the film’s duo, which is what Marvel Studios is banking on.
2. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Sep. 6
While Deadpool & Wolverine is trending, we can’t say the same for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. The sequel to the 1988 hit reunites lead actor Michael Keaton and director Tim Burton. It also casts Jenna Ortega, the star of Wednesday, in hopes of attracting a younger audience.
Bettors are bearish on the film’s opening weekend odds. It is estimated to make under $100 million with a hefty -500 betting price.

3. Joker: Folie à Deux, Oct. 4
The first Joker film was a surprise hit in both commercial and critical aspects. Joaquin Phoenix won Best Actor while the film surpassed a total of $1 billion despite a relatively modest $96 million opening. Given this film’s status, and the addition of Lady Gaga, the sequel should best that opening number even in October.
You can even bet on Gaga to win Best Supporting Actress albeit at a +300 long shot. But she’s proven to be a magnetic personality and is likely to shine as Harley Quinn in the film. Joker: Folie à Deux could be even better than the original.
4. Gladiator II, Nov. 22
Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II is another sequel with great expectations. Its opening line is projected at $125 million. As a fall release, this is a big number. The direct follow-up to the 2000 classic won’t return Russell Crowe’s Maximus as he is, uh, dead.
However, Scott and Co. brought in heavyweights like Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington to co-star with Paul Mescal, the film’s new protagonist. For the morbid, you can also bet on how many die in the opening 10 minutes of the film.
5. Moana 2, Nov. 27
As far as dark horse blockbusters are concerned, look no further. The BetUS betting lines have Moana 2 to open with a $100 million projection. That’s almost double what the original, Moana made in 2016 at $56 million. However, it also finished with a total of $643.3 million and remains one of Walt Disney’s most enduring animated works.
