Jayden Daniels’ Historic Rookie Season Earns Him Top League Award
Daniels Turned the Commanders Into Contenders Overnight and Now He’s Taking Home Major Hardware
NFL’s Top Rookie
There was a lot of hype surrounding Jayden Daniels heading into the 2024 season but even the most optimistic fan couldn’t have expected him to be this good. The Washington Commanders quarterback scored 31 total touchdowns and helped lead the team from being the second-worst in the NFL in 2023 to making the NFC Championship.
Jayden Daniels’ stats are among the most impressive ever for a rookie quarterback; the NFL predictions expect him to win Offensive Rookie of the Year during Thursday’s NFL awards show.

There were some really good rookies this year. Raiders tight end Brock Bowers broke multiple rookie records and had the greatest season ever for a rookie tight end. Bo Nix also helped lead the Denver Broncos to the playoffs.
That’s not even to mention Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers, who also had a historic rookie season. Despite the competition, NFL news revealed that Daniels has been named the 2024 Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Year. While this isn’t the official Offensive Rookie of the Year recognized by the NFL, three of the last four winners went on to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Future Is Bright for Jayden Daniels
Heading into next season, the NFL rumors need to be keeping an eye on the Commanders. If Daniels can lead them to the NFC Championship as a rookie, who knows what he’ll be able to do once he gets more talent around him and experience?

If Washington were a stock, I would certainly invest heavily in them. It’s too early to make Super Bowl picks but some people will likely predict the Commanders to make the big game next year.
This just goes to show you how much a great quarterback can change a franchise overnight. If the 2024 NFL Draft was given a do-over, Daniels would be the No. 1 pick over Caleb Williams. It’s a good time to be a Commander’s fan after years of despair.
