The Counter-Strike community is buzzing over esports company 9INE’s new multinational roster, which is a big departure from their customary all-Polish teams. Their first ever international lineup

The new roster includes well-known players like “mantuu,” who rose to fame working with OG and then filled in for BIG with an incredible performance. Additionally, “refrezh,” who led Heroic in winning the ESL Pro League Season 13 trophy, was led by Casper “cadiaN” Møller. Moreover, “misutaaa,” a player for Team Vitality, advanced to the tier one scene and shared three titles with the French group. Along with Into The Breach and his brief tenure with the Falcons.

Even though “s0und” and “raalz” are the team’s unsung heroes, they both have impressive resumes with teams from their home nations. “Raalz” stands for numerous Danish groups, including Sprout and Copenhagen Flames. On paper, the lineup looks strong, full of talented players who were cut from their prior teams before they could really shine inside the server.

Previous competitive experience

Mantuu began his career with OG before playing for BIG for the majority of the previous season. Despite having a strong 1.12 average rating while with the German team, he was benched early in the season as they went back to an all-German squad.

Refrezh was a member of the HEROIC team but the Danes benched him after he showed a noticeable decline in performance on LAN. Since then, he has played for teams like Evil Geniuses, Preasy, and Sprout, with whom he unexpectedly made it to the Legends Stage at IEM Rio Major 2022.

Misutaaa made his tier one debut with Vitality, winning key events like IEM Winter 2021 over his two years on the team. However, he was benched when the squad failed to win trophies on a regular basis. He had quite short and mostly unsuccessful experiences with the Falcons and Into the Breach. Into the Breach benched him earlier this year when they were unable to advance to PGL Major Copenhagen.

Both s0und and raalz are journeymen with experience in the tier two scene. Raalz began his career in 2013 and participated in some of the first Majors. However, in the last few years, he has primarily appeared in tier 2 online events alongside teams like Sprout and Copenhagen Flames. The 21-year-old s0und made his debut in competitive CS in 2020 and 2021 with Romanian teams on GameAgents and Nexus. After brief periods on foreign lineups, he returned to Nexus in the middle of 2023.

In addition to the all-star roster, 9INE has added Polish coach miNirox, who is renowned for his ability to develop team cohesion and strategic thinking.Keep an eye on all of our content as we’ll be covering all the action Counter Strike has to offer.
