Anything but the best performance won’t be enough to win this competition, but these select mid-laners will look to show why they deserve the title.

Scout – LPL Edward Gaming

EDG Scout and the rest of the defending world champions did not qualify to the event as they would have expected, as they went through a lot of battles and hardships to come back to their former form. As an individual, the experienced Scout did wonders during the playoffs as he faced against incredible mid-laners such as Xiaohu, Knight, and Doinb several times to assist his team grab a post in the 2022 Worlds main event.

Rather unexpectedly, they didn’t win the LPL championship this time around, Scout was still able to be even for the most total kills amongst the other playoff mid-lane mains with the highest KDA ratio included. Scout picked a total of 13 champions in the summer split, this makes him a perfect playmaker and carry at the same time for a roster searching for a repeat Worlds title.

There is something absolute, if Scout is in form no other mid-laner will be able to stop him. Outside of maybe our next entry.

Chovy – LCK Gen.G

After a grueling four and a half long years without achieving an LCK trophy, the mid-lane master of Korea has finally grabbed his place as the best mid laner of the LCK. The youngster juggernaut has been arguably the best player in his region, and as he walks into the World’s stage, he comes in as the best mid-laner of the tournament.

This past summer split, he was top out of all LCK mid laners in KDA, GD at 15m, and damage per minute. He does receive a lot of attention and resources from his teammates, taking the second highest total gold, but once he receives that advantage is over for the enemy team. During the playoffs stage, Chovy went even further by dealing a massive 30% of his team’s total damage along with an incredible average of 767 damage to enemy champions per minute.

Chovy is here to slay every opponent in his path, and now with experienced players able to give him a step forward.
