Best Teams At The Dota 2 Bali Major 2023
The Bali Major 2023 is just around the corner, and what better time to gauge the competition in this season’s final major tournament. Fortunately, the DreamLeague S20 is giving us a clear idea on how the participants compete with its cross-regional rivals.
We will take a look at each team’s ability to make it to the top 8 of the Bali Major. Since this is the only major tournament left for these teams to earn one final DPC boost, it all goes to the top eight teams.

1. Team Liquid
To rank fifth the two-time major runner up our Bali power rankings could be considered a controversial opinion. However, given what has happened recently and the other anomalies as we go higher in the power rankings, it is reasonable.
Team Liquid was eliminated at DreamLeague S20, losing to PSG.LGD, Tundra Esports and Talon Esports. Losing to Tundra, who was handicapped, and Talon Esports, who didn’t even qualify for the Bali Major, certainly left a bad name for their reputation.
2. Team Aster
The much-anticipated Aster team needs no introduction after a parade of recognition and hype surrounding their newest member. Having Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan in mid lane is arguably the most impactful roster change Aster has had this season and fans have high hopes for the King.
That said, it would be wiser not to include Team Aster in the top three as they are still relatively new. Despite the expectations of Aster, they only managed to get 3rd place in China Division 1 and also seem to be struggling in DreamLeague S20.
3. Evil Geniuses
South American superstars Evil Geniuses went largely unnoticed despite their steady results throughout DPC 2023. They placed fourth and fifth in Berlin and Lima Majors respectively, so that’s a good sign for finding EG’s young talent still worth advertising. turned their first TI last.
For the uninitiated, the EG roster of former Thunder Awaken and Beastcoast players rocked TI11 fans with their phenomenal performance.
4. 9Pandas
Hailing from Eastern Europe, 9Pandas took third place at the Berlin Major. They eventually became fan favorites in the region, surpassing Team Spirit and BetBoom. However, it’s important to note that 9Pandas is still below two of their regional rivals in UEE Division 1. However, 9Pandas often delivers its best performances in the majors. At least, better than its EEU peers.
5. Gaimin Gladiators
The Gaimin Gladiators need no introduction as two-time champions at the 2023 DPC, but another great performance at WEU has fans hoping that Gaimin will also win the Bali Major and become a three-time champion. There are many records to be broken, but if there is one team he can do that with, it is definitely the Gaimin Gladiators.
Bali’s powerhouse ranking is arguably our most uncertain ranking, especially with so many new teams debuting for the first time. Some honorable mentions include Bleed Esports, Blacklist International, Names, Azure Ray, and Quest Esports. It would therefore be exhilarating if these underdogs turn out to be much larger than we initially expected.
