BLEED adds zeal to their roster

The roster for Bleed Esports has been completed ahead of the Elite League: Southeast Asia (SEA) Closed Qualifier with the announcement of the team’s new offlaner. Prior to that, Nicholas was a player for Invictus Gaming. With them, he qualified for The International 2023 and finished 5–6th, losing to Team Zero in the first round of the playoffs. Zeal also competed in the ESL One Berlin Major 2023 as a member of PSG.LGD; however, the team finished the tournament in the 1st round of the lower grid, with a lineup that included positions 9–12. Since departing Invictus Gaming in November 2023, Zeal has experimented with a number of teams, but this is his first time working in a more formal team setting. The player has substantial prior experience from brief stints with EHOME in 2022. Zeal did participate in the RES Regional Series: SEA #1 in February 2024 as a stand-in for Bleed. The team was eliminated in the 1st round of the playoffs following a mediocre performance in the group stage.

With its current lineup, Bleed has evolved into a multi-regional SEA squad as each of its 5 players is a native of a different country in the region. It will be interesting to watch how the team’s levels of synergy develop because this kind of arrangement is unusual for the area. The organization has not been able to qualify for any of the major tournaments thus far in 2024; this was also the case the previous year. But for now, the team will concentrate on the Elite League qualifier, which is anticipated to be extremely competitive considering the competitiveness and unpredictable nature that nearly every team in the area has displayed in recent years. On March 14, Bleed Esports will take on IHC Esports, the same squad that knocked them out of the RES Regional Series: SEA #1.

BLEED will be looking to continue their growth and development into a Tier 1 team with this new addition. Zeal will have to prove his worth as he has been bouncing around different teams and hopes to maintain a steady and strong play. The Malaysian native started his pro career in 2017 and he has formed a part of 8 different teams in that time. During this time he has $39,453 approximately in total earnings and with this new team he will be on a mission to make a difference and make that number bigger for him and for the team.

The inaugural online tournament in the Elite League series is scheduled for 2024. It is coordinated by ESB and Fissure. There will be 24 teams competing for a $1 million prize pool during the tournament, which runs from April 4 to April 15.
