In the opening series, BLG faced off against MKOI, with BLG riding high on their incredible momentum after going undefeated in the Play-Ins.
MKOI fought back hard against the LPL’s second seed, but when it really counted, BLG’s teamwork proved too strong for them in game 1. It looked like BLG was already picturing another 3-0 sweep for their MSI journey, but MKOI made a comeback. In game 2, the LEC champions got into some early fights, which helped Jojopyun’s Azir go into overdrive, leading to a total domination in every battle and securing the win.
However, as expected, the LPL team came back with their usual fierce play in Games 3 and 4. Even though MKOI managed to steal Baron and gain some early advantages, everything fell apart once we hit the mid-game.
Now, BLG is standing strong in the winners bracket, ready to take revenge on T1, the team that beat them and claimed the 2024 Worlds title.
Massive scare for T1 fans

The CFO has consistently managed to perform strongly against LPL and LCK teams, and this year is no different.
The first game started off evenly, with both teams exchanging hits and engaging in skirmishes all over the map. This back-and-forth action lasted nearly 25 minutes until T1 had a chance at a Dragon soul, which pushed CFO into a confrontation. The Korean team came out on top, but they showed some concerning signs for the future.
In Games 2 and 3, the momentum shifted, as CFO’s teamfighting skills and T1’s unusual drafts provided plenty of chances for the PCS team to secure victories in both games.
Every seasoned League of Legends fan knows that T1 is never to be underestimated on the international stage. With their backs against the wall, T1 began to use more conventional champions. In the final match, they completed their comeback. Faker and his team made no mistakes, left no openings, and allowed no room for error.
