Clutch Performance from FaZe Secures IEM Cologne 2022 Trophy

After winning their most recent big trophy at IEM Cologne 2022, the team spoke about their expectations for the next season

After winning their most recent big trophy at IEM Cologne 2022, the team spoke about their expectations for the next season and FaZe’s overall strength and position on power rankings within the CSGO betting sites community.

FaZe Clan have absolutely enjoyed a streak of first place finishes in CSGO odds around this season, and current IGL Karrigan believes the results definitely shows the team’s top level.

Finn “karrigan” Andersen via HLTV interview:

We’re the best team in the world when you look at the results of this season, four trophies to us, one to Cloud9, one to NAVI. There’s no discussion that we’re the best team in the world and I’m super happy to see NAVI perform at this level so far” “The main goal for next season is the Intel Grand Slam. When and how we win it doesn’t even matter

The Danish born in game leader helped FaZe to win at IEM Cologne 2022, PGL Antwerp Major, IEM Katowice 2022, and ESL Pro League season 15, making them just a small step away from achieving the fourth season of the Intel Grand Slam. As seen above Karrigan has set high expectations for the roster in the upcoming season, which starts around the midpoint of August after players return from the summer break.

In the meantime, North American player Twistzz continues to show appreciation to the community. Despite playing for an international CSGO team, FaZe Clan’s Twistzz says he’s more than happy to represent North America on the global stage while bringing some prestige to the region.

Following the win at IEM Cologne 2022, the player sat down with Dust2.us and talked about his team’s achievements and his nationality. Twistzz has been playing for FaZe since January 2021 which dictates more than a year with them, but he still sees himself as a North American representative, despite recent success with his European based team and teammates.

Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken stated:

As long as NA want me as a representative, I’ll proudly represent the North American scene. I do play for an EU team but we all represent our own countries on this team and that’s the best part.

The Canadian born is one of a few North American players to actually achieve Major trophies in CSGO. Before the current stint with FaZe, he was one of the key parts of Team Liquid for over three years, over there he won numerous big trophies as well, including the Intel Grand Slam season two.

Twistzz is now looking to continue his recent run of form, as his clutch play in round 29 of the finals was the catalyst that won it all for FaZe.

He is now just one event away from securing the fourth season of the tournament and will have a total of six opportunities to accomplish this. Even though Twistzz further clarified in the interview “it’s still going to take a lot of work”, FaZe still remains as the the favorite team of most CSGO betting experts due to their recent results.
