DisguisedToast Is Considering Joining The LCS With DSG
DisguisedToast’s League of Legends team is starting the new year on a high note after bringing home the trophy for the 2023 Summer NA Challengers League. After a few missteps, the well-known content creator turned team owner has found the winning feeling in esports and may soon consider expanding into other games and leagues.
In an interview with Travis Gafford that was recently published, the 31-year-old declared his intention to return as team manager in 2024 and to seek out new sponsors to help support the organization. In addition, he claimed that he would seek out new sponsors to help fund the company.

He added that he was “open to join the LCS,” which is especially noteworthy now that TSM has officially left the league and rumors are circulating about multiple teams wanting to sell their 2019 roster spots. However, Toast knows that the expense of joining the league would be significantly higher than what he has already invested in the squad.
Toast has stated that he hopes to “break even” in esports within two years, but this goal may be unrealistic if he joins the LCS. To which he added, “I heard joining the LCS actually loses you more money, which is kind of crazy,” said jokingly . It’s a paradox of esports because the more successful you are, the more money you lose. Just give up and accept defeat.
Toast has been transparent about the financial commitment he has made to the esports community since the formation of his organization. This pledge involves spending a staggering one million dollars till the year 2022.

He doesn’t try to hide the fact that it’s tough to manage a successful squad, saying that he needs to pay for his colleagues’ food, lodging, transportation, and other necessities on top of what Riot Games pays for them. He doesn’t try to hide the fact that it’s difficult to operate a profitable squad.
DSG, however, is not slowing down as they continue to cement their place in esports history. Toast has been working hard in League and VALORANT, but he has also been pondering joining other Riot games, like as Teamfight Tactics and the upcoming fighting game Project L. He is also considering making appearances in games not made by Riot, such as CS2, Apex Legends, and possibly Rainbow Six: Siege.
Overall, DisguisedToast has high aspirations for the future of DSG; nevertheless, he must choose the next steps that will be the most productive given the resources that DSG possesses. As is well known, the worst decision you can make is a hurried one; hence, it will be of the utmost importance to choose the route that is both the most prudent and the most sustainable to achieve your goals.
