ENCE Parts Ways With Hades, While Astralis Signs Buzz

ENCE have reached a mutual agreement with Olek “hades” Miskiewicz to end his contract. The Polish AWPer, who was relegated to the bench in August to make room for Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia, has spent his time on loan at Finest and ex-Finest.

The Pole initially replaced Guy “anarkez” Trachtman at Finest after the team failed to qualify for the IEM Road to Rio 2022 Europe. The team parted ways with the organization two months after he joined, but he has continued to compete with the ex-Finest roster.

He originally joined ENCE on a temporary basis in May 2021 to replace Aleksi “allu” Jalli, but it didn’t take long for him to take a permanent spot on the team. In June of the same year, Hades officially replaced Allu around doubts about the Finnish AWPer’s future.

The young player had a successful run with ENCE, especially in early 2022, when the team reached the finals of both ESL Pro League Season 15 and IEM Dallas. However, ENCE was unable to take the next step and often found itself on the back foot. hades struggled to step up in Majors, with an average score of 0.91 in the two in which he competed.

hades has stated on Twitter that he is open to possible offers for 2023, suggesting that his future may not be tied to the former Finest team.

Astralis Picks Up New Talent in Buzz

Astralis has announced that an agreement has been reached with Christian “Buzz” Andersen. The 19-year-old joins Peter “casle” Ardenskjold from MASONIC, with whom he won the last POWER Ligaen over Astralis Talent.

We already have the roster in place,” said “casle” about having a fixed quintet, “and I’m looking forward to working with the team on the new configuration, which is being finalized right now.”

The signing comes after a long period of talks with MASONIC, dating back to October. Negotiations had stalled and were on the verge of dying, but came back to life after Astralis was turned down when inquiring about Victor “Staehr” of Sprout Staehr and Rasmus “sjuush” of Heroic Beck.

I’m very happy and really proud,” Buzz said of his signing with one of the most recognized Danish organizations. “I have studied and admired the Astralis team players for several years and in many ways that has shaped me as a CS player. The fact that I can now call myself an Astralis player on a team with several of those players and in the role I have always imagined is crazy.”

TV2 Denmark analyst Lucas “Bubzkji” Andersen commented on the signing early on when it was first reported that Buzz would be joining Astralis, saying it would be a good signing due to the young man’s professional attitude.

Buzz’s debut will come in the BLAST Premier Spring Groups, where Astralis is a partner team. He will then play his first Major Event in February, ESL Pro League Season 17, as Astralis did not finish high enough in the ESL World Rankings to receive an invitation to IEM Katowice.

The outgoing player to make room for Buzz in the quintet is MistR, who was filling in for Astralis Talent’s core team for two months following the departure of Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke. The youngster will return to the academy in 2023.

Astralis also announced the contract extension of Alexander “br0” Bro’s contract in the development team, which means he will be back as a starter with Astralis Talent after the new year, and the signing of Mathias “R0nic” Pinholt as the new coach of the youth team.
